DIE SPAMBOT--DIE!!!

<__>

<_<

Sorry. It's a reflex these days.

Um, topic, uh, "Salt"...um, however much the recipe (and personal taste) calls for.

[small]I'll show myself out, now.[/small]

To be fair, spam bots selling fortune tellers and magic powers is way more interesting than the usual online casino we get.

The "Escort Services"-bots tended to collect a large number of views surprisingly quickly, too.

OT: According to the finds in recent studies salt may not be the Epic Villain it's been made out to be for centuries.

As such I'ss feel a lot less constrained to season soups and stews in the future.

I like cooking soups and stews. It's something I'm getting rather good at.

Seldom more than a half-teaspoon if any at all (to the entire meal obviously, not just my portion, dear god no). You can always add more if the meal demands it. Too much and you're screwed.

I don't ever add salt to cooking. My mum never added salt to anything and it rubbed off on me, not so much for health reasons as much as it's just something I've never learnt to do, I never even think about it. Not that I won't add seasoning mixes that contain salt, I probably do a lot of that.

I dont add salt to any cooking...but I eat alot of salty snack foods...

I suppose if I am eating a hardboiled egg, I add salt and pepper to it though.

Now pepper, that I add to alot of stuff. (Black pepper mind you, like you get with salt)

So this thread isn't about forming a new religion with me at the center?

Anyway, to answer this totally misleading thread, I don't add that much salt to anything. I really only add salt when cooking the food, and occasionally to season it (like with fries or popcorn). I actually use salt pretty sparingly as a little tends to go a long way.

Can't really give amounts as I pretty rarely measure anything when cooking. Or when making mixed drinks. Just pour until you feel like that's enough. I'd probably be a bit more precise in baking, but I don't bake much. (I should probably buy a mixer).

Very rarely too much, I like my food tasting as it is meant to naturally. But then if someone makes spicy food, I'll still like it, I am just bad at adding spices myself :/

Not a huge fan of it, really.

I use it for cooking, sure, but not a whole lot of it. Otherwise, sparingly. Fries, a little, but not on corn on the cob or popcorn.

That said, salt & vinegar chips are pretty bitchin', and that's pretty much the only thing I like salt with that's just all willy nilly.

I add a pinch when I'm cooking pasta or potatoes but I don't put it onto cooked food anymore for taste.

Trying to cut back, blood pressure and all that.

I stopped putting salt on things when I was at secondary school when a teacher had some medical problems and said that salt (among other things) was contributing to it. I thought since there is already loads of salt in food anyway why add more considering I already have a terrible lifestyle health wise.

I use as much salt as I can get. How else am I going to level my thief in Salt and Sanctuary?
