In 5 days Samurai Jack will return to our television (or Computer Monitor or Tablet/Smarthphone) with a brand new Season to finally conclude the saga.

So lets get HYPED!!! and discuss. So far the facts:

Its a 10 Episode Season, 30 Minutes an Episode, Greg Baldwin is confirmed to voice Aku (Who voiced Mako's other character Uncle Iroh from Avatar the Last Airbender)

So far 50 years has past since the last time we saw Jack yet Jack claims "he does not age" despite the fact that his hair grew...

And so far I am noticing these female characters who apperently looks like followers or minions of Aku, perticularly one who has Grey Delise's voice who apperes to be the boss of these female Aku assassin's and it won't be the last time we see her judging from another video.

And true to their word the season is gonna be bloody and dark in parts. I mean we see Jack stabbed and bleeding.

But the biggest thing is where is Jack's Sword?! What happened how did he lose it, the only clue we have is this scene of this man crucifyed in fire saying to Jack "YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN YOUR PURPOSE" clearly the man looks like Jack's father.

Oh and the Scotsman is confirmed to be back.

All in All I am excited. Please don't fuck it up for me Genndy:

So...Jack took a few pages from Senran Kagura? ;-)

And I think Jack's sword broke. There was a previous thread a bit ago where someone said it happens in the comics. Jack loses his motivation to keep going--as we see in the trailer--and because of that, his sword is no longer unbreakable. And thus, it shatters in one of his fights.
If that is not the case, then I'm positive they are going to address that in the first episode or two.

But either way, his sword is gone. So the bigger question is how is he supposed to defeat Aku now? That blade was the only thing that could harm him.

Favorite show of all time been re-watching the whole series in anticipation. About his sword in the comics I heard from someone that the comics aren't cannon so whether or not his sword is broken is a mystery. So looking forward to it.

Now watching the motorcycle scene you can tell that it's CGI which is a little disappointing but that's more a slight aesthetic thing. Super looking forward to watching him tear apart armies just like he used to.

Him losing his sword doesn't make any sense. It's the ONLY reason Aku refused to face him head-on because the sword was the ONLY thing that could kill Aku. He's got to still have it, he just doesn't use it exclusively anymore. Any other explanation would seem to have flimsy reasoning.

Anyone else wondering "How" for this part? I mean there's a 50 year timeskip between season 4 and season 5. By all rights the Scotsman should be a geriatric by now unless his aging was similarly halted. Naturally, this makes me curious about the extent of his role in the new season.

"Ye thought age can hold me back, eh laddie? Well think again, ya git!"

OT: I just hope that this season will finally tell us an end to this story. Oh, and also great action and atmosphere that Samurai Jack is known for, but I don't think that there will be problems with that.

Can't believe that it was, what, 13 years?

From what I've read, he didn't break it, but lost it at some point. I guess he must get it back.

Or if he did break it, well, maybe he'll find shards and gods who forged it will reforge it, or something like that.

That just made my evening! I am excited and got my DVR set to record every new episode automatically when it comes on. This the kick in the balls CN needed right away. Quality control is horrible with them, and adult_swim/Toonami is the only one actually trying.

I don't think CN is losing any sleep with Adult swim airing 10 episodes of new Samurai Jack

I don't expect them to lose sleep, but that's the exact problem. They don't care about most of shit they shove out today. I never cared much for Regular Show, and stopped caring for Adventure Time after its 4th season, but a lot of there shows now are just cheap flash animation that scream let's be like Teen Titans Go. Once Adventure Time, Steven Universe (not a big fan, yet there is respect), Regular Show, and Gumball end; what's next? The new Ben 10, which might as well be called Ben 10: Teen Titans Go Edition. Yeah, let's chase our own tail to the point that even our supposed target audience will get tired of the same format every single day. And don't even get me started on Powerpuff Girl (2016). The current CN may not be like what it was between 2009-2010 (CN Real), but they are in another Dork Age.

Bare Bears is a decent show, but doesn't hold much interest in me, and Mighty Magiswords feels like some flash show you would find online back in the early 2000s. CN still lacks enough variety compared to back then, or even to its competition. I may not like modern Nicklodeon either, but at least they try to have variety with their animated shows now, and Disney XD has something. Even if latter has only action shows that are either Marvel property or Star Wars. Star vs. the Forces of Evil is more so action/comedy, yet it's different enough feels like a better Powerpuff Girls Show than what CN puts out. Now there are still huge flaws with Nick and XD, but at least there is effort from them.

Where the fuck is Ed Edd n Eddy and the Kids Next Door?!
The fact that the creators of UG have three characters from CN's early days says something. They do have a huge respect for the legacy more than the network itself does. You got Johhny Bravo, Dexter, and Dee Dee in the audience. I am a big fan of Kids Next Door, so it does not bother me. As for Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, I'll never watch the show again, because it was way too mean in screwing the title characters over, and those other fucking kids being Karam Houdinis 90% of the time. Especially with characters like Sarah and Kevin. Once I saw the Big Picture Show, I found it pointless to go back to most episodes of the show. I'll watch the ones where the Eds either win or don't get screwed over too badly. This pretty much the same reason why I won't watch CatDog ever again after its movie finale.

1. And the funny thing is you can tell how superior the art style of the Legacy characters are compared to the newer ones.

2. If you think the Eds are too mean spirited, look at Danny Phantom, he's a superhero and he still gets grounded for bullshit reasons.

As for Danny, at least he had super powers. Though he had a shitty love interest that you're supposed to like, but no. Sam was full of shit. Then again, Butch Hartman had the exact same problem with the later seasons of The Fairly OddParents.
