Second thing- Danm I thought they were going to be meta by saying it was 13 years (the time we waited after it went off the aired). Still 50 years is reasonable for why Jack lost his way in his goal to travel back to the past.

Third thing- Is that blood I saw and one of those trainie assassin killing another? Look like the censorship has been sunk on Adultswim!

Fourth thing- I love how they fitted in the intro song lyric.

Truthfully, I was worried when they said they were going to go full blood instead of the usual robot path. I was afraid they'd be aiming for Attack on Titan-level of gore, but it seems they are going to keep it tasteful.

Than again who knows what the unseen footage might contain. Is it tasteful if Jack can hack off a man's arm or head with his sword even though a sword can techincally do that in reality?

There is a continuity but Most of the Original Series episodes are pretty much self contained episode stories, Star Trek style.

But I still recommend watching a certain selection of episodes, specifically this:

Something I find rather unnerving about the trailer that has something to do to with that...where IS Jack's sword? Even when he's using melee weapons, I don't see it anywhere...that can't be good.

We also see him use a trident, so I assume he lost the sword and getting it back will be a major thrust of the plot since it's the only thing that can hurt Aku.
