Bread, meats, condiments and toppings are all fair game.

I'd prefer a big Italian sub, Salami, roast beef, oil, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and hot peppers.

Well if you live near Pittsburgh go to Primanti Bros. it is supposed to be the best sandwiches in the world because they put the fries on the sandwich

It's quite basic, but there's a shop in my local town centre that sells tuna and mayo sandwiches in really thick bread. I love them.

The subway meatball thing with bbq sauce is a close and messy second.

Yeah I'm more a Subway Spicy Italian guy, with all the salad except sweetcorn, and of course chipotle southwest sauce.

The small mom and pop shop up the street from me is not only the most adorable park-side restaurant ever, it also has the most amazing sandwich... ever--a pastrami, saurkraut, Swiss cheese, mustard on rye pannini. I'm trying not to smile in public right now.

Double Meat Footlong Meatball Marinara from subway with Bacon, double cheese and salami. Costs a lot but it is damn nice. Probably has my salt intake for a year in it as well but who cares.

Fried egg, bacon and sausage (and possibly mushrooms, come to think of it) on thick white bread with heaps of brown sauce. I'm a heart attack waiting to happen.

Whenever I go to Subway too (which is unwise on a student budget, but I do it anyway, quite often), I have a footlong Italian Herbs and Cheese bread sub with chicken and double cheese, toasted. Along with a large Coke and double chocolate chip cookie I think the only thing that's stopped a heart attack for me so far is the amount of walking I do on campus, my campus is absolutely huge (and has a hell of a lot of steps too ;D).
