So, it's up to you to rally an awesome team based solely on video game characters, and go save the world again. On the following parameters, who would you choose to fill the following roles?

- A gunslinger (any kind of range weapon)

- A diplomat (social skills ftw)
- A team leader
- Several generic grunts to assist (Stormtroopers, Red Shirts, Goblins, whatever)

Best team in the world. Specially the Narrator, he makes you fight a bridge, yes, a bridge as in the thing you walk on. Why? Because you complained and he's a dick.

-valvatorez (disgaea 4) - team leader to inspire me with speeches about sardines.
- demon lord etna (disgaea) - support
- prinnes (disgaea)- grunts

an extremely dysfunctional group that would be hilarious to watch. valv would instruct the prinnes on how to behave better, etna would beat the crap out of the prinnes to relieve stress, gig would destroy the prinnies if he gets bored, gordon would try to save the prinnes with his noble herioc personality.

 

[Popadoo]

- John Marston (Red Dead Redemption). Seriously, who else can lock on to an enemy's head and unload a pistol before they even draw? Fallout's V.A.Ts doesn't count since the player uses it, not a character...
- Cole (inFamous). Granted, he could do some serious ranged damage, but the first option was 'weapons' and I don't think that counts superpowers. A giant electrified cattle-prod on the other hand...
- The mages from Magicka. Sure, they're more likely to blow you up than heal you, but they at least add comic relief to what I assume is an otherwise dire situation.
- Geralt (The Witcher). Not only is he good with words, but if it goes ass-up he can use magic to trick them.
- Gordon Freeman (Half-Life). Simply because I think it would be hilarious.

- Any generic enemy from Dark Souls. I don't think in other games the regular repeated grunts have any chance of killing you, where as in Dark Souls if you don't pay attention...

I really don't mind, specifically I made one asking for a 4 man team as inspired by The Avengers.

The way I see it, this team has about a 50/50 chance of either winning or failing spectacularly.

- My Ranged Specialist would be the Shas'O commander from Dawn of War II: The Last Stand due to his wide range of different weapons.

- For Close Combat I'd pick Ken Ogawa (I think that's how you spell it?) from Ninja Blade, as in addition to being good at melee he has experience in taking down more colossal enemies (I would have picked Kratos but he's a bit too unstable to be a reliable team player.)

- Steve from Minecraft would function as the teams Support as, unlike most video game characters, he is fully capable of manipulating his environment to create defenses/traps.

- Sindri Myr from Dawn of War would be my Diplomat, as he seems to be pretty good at persuading/manipulating other people into doing what he wants (though he might end up betraying me...)

- The Leader would be a Character I have created on an MMO or some other game, so that I could still lead them.

- For minions I would have Wraiths from Dungeons and Dragons; they're immune to physical attacks, incorporeal and any (humanoid) enemies they kill will rise as Wraiths themselves.

1. Sniper Wolf (Metal Gear Solid) - she can sit motionless for weeks and then shoot your face off from half a mile away. And then make you cry when she dies...
2. Ryu Hayabusa (Dead or Alive series) - although it's a tough call between him and the rest of the DoA roster to be honest... his infamous HMPHH-AHHHHHHH- move will always be in my heart.
3. Annie (League of Legends) - too cute/dangerous to ignore. They'll just be piled under by requests to know where her bear is.
4. Saladin (Stronghold Crusader) - he's so humble and softly spoken when he's kicking my ass.
5. Cao Cao (Dynasty Warriors series) - one of the first and best megalomaniacs.
6. Sligs (Oddworld series) - would amuse me no end.

[The Unworthy Gentleman]

1. The Mysterious Stranger (Fallout 3/NV): Literally the best gunslinger the universe has ever seen.
2. Lydia (Skyrim): Every team needs someone to die through the story and Lydia dies really well.
3. The Medic (TF2): He has a gun that heals people, what more do I need?
4. Machiavelli (Assassins Creed 2): He was one of the best political minds the world has ever seen and he can fight.
5. Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin's Creed): Led an entire Assassin's order and has the power of the Apple of Eden to help him.
6. Ewoks (Star Wars): They're the only effective group of non-heros in the entire Star Wars universe.

I think we'd win, fairly easily too. Though we'd have to replace Lydia when the next attack comes along.
