For my IT course at school last year I had to create a DVD website. It's pretty basic but it's was nice enough to get me an A in my results. I currently now have to maintain it, improve it etc.

I was wondering if anyone had the spare time to just have a look around and find any bugs, broken links etc or even come up with any suggestions to improve it.

If you want to pass it on to a friend who could do the same it would be much appreciated.

One question though, if you look on the Feedback page there is a feedback form, that form isn't linked to anything and if anyone knows how to create a proper form that will email me when someone fills it out that would be perfect.

Hmmmm, I took a brief gander, don't have much time to do more than that though. It looks alright, though from a design standpoint I'd change the colouring scheme to make it a little brighter and more user-friendly, as it were. Perhaps whites and blues, and black borders, rather than the dark red scheme. Maybe have the DVD covers on the edge, and a bit smaller, maybe with a brief description of each featured film there too? Seperating them would be much more accessible and appealing for the user. I didn't notice any bugs or kinks myself, but then again I didn't spend much time on there, others may find problems that I didn't so don't take my word for it.

All in all, I can see why you got an A, but with a few design changes you could fairly easily bump it up to an A*. Good luck, either way :D

I dont know how good your graphics can be but I suggest streamlining the links (smaller, more professional icons, that would allow a description of the genre a the higher level.

also for the dvds you have videos for, let people get to the videos from the dvd list (i.e link by the Dark Knight blurb back to the video page

maybe add a 'deal of the week' or similar on the front screen with a dvd with 20% off or something.

I like feel of the site and the layout works well. Colour schem could be toned down to make the site somewher you want to keep looking around, the black and red are striking and memorable but reigning them in may be good.

I'm no designer but I am a tester (thats my actual job) not found any broken links (yet) but feel free to ignore the crap I spout (god knows the devs I work with do!)
