You've all seen some sort of science fiction show/movie/book, and so i would like to know...

What is your favorite science fiction weapon?
If you could have one what would it be and what would you use it for?
Would you join your country's army if the world started fighting with science fiction weapons?

EDIT: besides WORLD DOMINATIONNNNN!!!

Hmmm... either the Lightsaber or the Death Star, does that count?
I would use it to take over the world obviously.
Depends, does the enemy use it to, or just the US Military?

That lightning gun from District 9. Althought I'd probably have to get the weird alien arm thing to go with it...

Does a Gundam count? Technically it is in itself a weapon. Barring that I would go with either a lightsaber or the cerebral bore.

Pulse Rifle from the Colonial Marines continuation (Aliens, AvP, etc.) and the Death Star. Mount one on the other (either way round, I'm not picky) and you'd be taking on all comers.

Why would you need a lightsaber? Pretty much every Gundam has something like it already! (Tallgeese III rocks)

Zorg's ZF-1 looks like a great all-in-one weapon o.o

I would just stick with the gravity gun

Thats what the "barring that" is for. If a Gundam does not count under his rules, than I take the lightsaber.

Guess I should read more closely. Fine, can I have a lightning gun? Or the Link Gun from UT 2003/2004.

This is my favorite science fiction weapon. Why? 'Cause it's a robot the size of several galaxies and of unmentionable destructive power. Did I mention it runs on willpower and determination? And I would have lots of determination to conquer the world with that.
