How I look at the internet sometimes when something stupid happens.

Cause if you're not really here, then the stars don't even matter. Now I'm filled to the top with fear
but it's all just a bunch of matter. Sam Sparro? Black and Gold? Come on people, someone must know it??

Anywho, A dress has caused a storm over the internet. I know, it's a first world issue. Wars could be started from this shit right here.

Looks like a light purple and gold to me, but that could just be the lighting making white look like a light purple.

No idea how someone could see this as black and blue you freak.

I know the reason this happens.

Basically the photo was taken in really poor lighting and people's eyes actively color correct the photo to what their brain thinks the color was supposed to be. Some people see the light as having desaturated the picture and therefore think that the light purple color is supposed to be blue and the gold is supposed to be black (yeah, light works in weird ways) whereas others see the lighting as having created too much shadow, which made a white dress look light purple.

Stare at this image and then look back at the picture in the OP:

Now your eyes have seen the same dress as both white and gold and blue and black. Weird huh?

It just has to do with the way people's eye's color correct for different lighting.

Seriously though, anyone who sees the dress as blue and black is wrong though.

when you open this up in paint or adobe and use the eyedropper, it comes out to light gray and gold, so white and gold is pretty much what the majority of people see and if we are JUST talking about that picture, then yeah, shit be white and gold.

I know many are saying that the lighting plays a major role but COME ON. The lighting may be bad but it's not that bad that it goes to the other side of the colour scale.

Every time I look at this bloody dress, it's a different color.

What's really interesting, though, is that whatever color it is, it's so strong that I can't imagine it being any other color.

Then the color changes when I look away and I start smelling burnt toast...
