Seafaring and Navy Games

Escapists,
I have been working my way through a boxset of an English drama series based on C.S. Forester's Hornblower series.
Now being a captain of a sailing ship really does look like lots of fun, but I cant for the life of me think of any where it is possible.

There is Total War: Napoleon edition, but that is a bit too wide scale for me. I would just like to be the captain of one ship.

Can anyone think of any?

I know come submarine sims that are pretty good, no boat sims though...

If you want to give a shot at a subsim, go with Silent Hunter (3 is the easiest to get into)
