Alrite.

I'm doing a poll to try and find what, in peoples' opinions, are the best songs of all time.
Simply post your 10 favourite songs, in any order. They will be added to the list.
Once I have about 100 or so voters, including votes collected IRL, the top 50 songs will be put into a list.

I'll post the results so far in the next post.
May the best song win.

Clearly this song is going to be based purely on opinion and your musical orientation, you obviously really like classical rock music (so do I! :D) but the point is one persons heaven is anothers hell. However I will put one song down which I think is one of the best.

John Lennon - Imagine

I take no responsibility for the video, though.
Once again, the video sucks, not my fault.
Starts nice, gets awesome about 40 seconds in. My Go-to Epic music.
And the obvious one

[sarcasm]GUH YOUR MUSIC IS SO MAINSTREAM YOU'RE ALL SHEEP FOR THE MEDIA[/sarcasm]

Anyway, I don't listen to traditional music (and I hate calling it that, at least I avoided saying "popular" or "mainstream"). Traditional being most of what plays on the radio or is sold in record stores. And that's because things like this exist-

And this-

I won't bother putting ten because you shouldn't count my votes, I'll be the only one. Unless someone wants to second Gusty Garden?

Kind of a wasted effort considering how many metalheads as on here, as great as the tastes of some people may be on here, it will always be skewed towards rock and probably a lot of bad metal.

Now it being skewed towards rock in general is no bad thing, a shit load of the bets songs of all time are rock songs.

But people should focus on what everyone likes and are universally considered good songs. If they don't have true universal appeal are they really good songs. I know everyone has their own tastes and a lot of music is catered towards certain people.

Hell if I were to put down my favorite songs, I would just put down Vacuity by Gojira 10 times.

Its my favorite song, its an awesome song, its one of the best metal songs ever written, but on a genuine list of best songs ever do I think it belongs on the list? Probably not.

Taking what I have just said into account, here are the 10 best songs ever

Billie Jean - Micheal Jackson
Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Jamming - Bob Marley(or any Bob Marley song really)
Let It Be - The Beatles
Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Every Breath You Take - The Police
Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
