I don't normally do this but I can't contain my excitement, that was the best season finale besides season 5 when

Amber died

I found it interesting that the entire episode was filmed in EOS Mark II cameras, it really made the setting feel claustrophobic. I also think this was Hugh Laurie's best acting since the season premiere as well.

Now I have to wait all the way to the end of the year until it starts again.

So how did everyone else feel about the show?

So no one likes house... I'm such a sad panda.
A lot of people on this forum are from europe, we are behind at least half a season.
So true fans will have to get some form of access to the finale today...

Ill post here when I watched it :)

I was genuinely moved by the whole episode, something which is very hard to do. I'm not trying to boast that I'm some sort of EMOTIONLESS MACHO MAN; far from it in fact. I just have a very cynical view of the world which means it is very difficult for something to cause me to feel, even real world events.

It was largely because House and I are very similiar in a lot of ways, and the Season finale seemed to touch on that even further. Definitely the best episode I've seen for a long time.

I get what you mean. I'm a bit of a machine, in the sense that emotions don't come to me easily. When Cuddy confronted House halfway through the episode and near the end when House screamed at Foreman, that really was quite moving and I felt a genuine surge of emotions in my chest.

Also, anyone know what a fat embolism is?

Wikipedia is your friend.
A type of embolism that is often (but not always) caused by physical trauma, fat emboli can occur whenever there is a chance for fat to enter the circulatory system, such as during surgery or trauma. A common scenario is fatty marrow entering the circulation after a fracture to a large long bone such as the femur or pelvis, or after surgery on such a bone.

I can't help but wonder if they're just sliding in anything they can to just keep the show going. It just felt very...Well...Half-cooked. It makes sense and I'm not denying that, it just feels like they're doing anything and sliding in anything to just keep the series still rolling.

Although I think I did laugh a little, which was more than usual (usually I give one smile). However, I think in terms of things to laugh at it's decreased. I wish I could just put it down to "oh well, House has been doing it so long you're used to it", but I honestly think they're starting to tide it away from the audience who liked the little snide comments to people who, well, watch soaps.

They say this next season of house is supposed to be the last you know.

I guess Hugh Laurie wants to branch off and try something else, rather than be known as house for the rest of his life.

:/ sad panda indeed

In a way, I'm happy it's that way. House M.D. just feels drained.

I suppose so. I hear he might be playing a minor role in a tim burton movie coming out soon. but then again the source i hear that from is /y/, so i don't know much about how reliable the tim burton/hugh laurie allience is.

I suddenly feel so sorry for Hugh Laurie. I bet he misses the days where he'd hang out with Stephen Fry and Rowan Atkinson...

I read the Wiki article, still doesn't explain what happened to Hannah at the end though.

EDIT: I meant as in why did he give up in the ambulance, the article says 10-15% mortality rate.

Unlike other series, House hasn't overstayed it's welcome which is why I still love the show. Most shows should just stick to four seasons at the absolute most for example The Office, I love the office but that shit has to end soon.

House however manages to keep the narrative going. I do hope the next season is the last, they should really wrap it up before they jump the shark.

It was epic sauce but the main thing that happens to house at the end was done better when it didn't really happen.
