No. And unless it dies for our sins, one game isn't going to cover everything sonic team has done.

Excuse me, but what exactly are we talking about here?

Oh, and this...

Pretty much covers my thoughts whatever it is.

We cannot forgive their past sins, but i suppose we could give them a second chance if they make something decent for once.

Not to rain on your parade but the demo for Unleashed seemed to be good. Then the actual game dropped.

and 65% of it was still good

at least on the PS2 version, which seems to have more daytime stages than nighttime

Even the day stages were lackluster, and the night stages were just pure slogs. The game is not really bad, but it certainly isn't good.

I quite enjoyed it, and while I'll wait until playing through the full release before shouting "ALL IS FORGIVEN!", I'm definitely hopeful for it.

No because I have Live Free or Silver or whatever it's called if you don't want to pay for a service you'll never use. So, I have to wait until next week to play this or forget to download it like Catherine's demo (Is that still up?).

I just played the demo on my 360 and it was fucking awesome. Have any of you guys tried it?
The demo of what?
Sonic Generations, came out at some point yesterday. You get to be Modern and Classic Sonic on Green Hill Zone.

I just hope that either they're serious about the PC version or the 3DS version isn't just Rush 4.0 with more 3D stuffs and throwbacks.

I haven't been able to download it but I look forward to the 3DSs version which, luckily, is still being released in November! Well...realistically, I'll probably wait for a review or two before I pick it up.

Huh. See, I played the classic Sonic demo months and months ago. I had no idea they did the modern Sonic demo too. I'll download this shit pronto, see if they've improved it. I DID like what I played, but the physics seemed a wee bit off. Don't get me wrong, not "Sonic 4 horrible stiffness can never get momentum" off--dead opposite, Classic Sonic actually seemed to slip and slide a little too quickly. We'll see what I think of the new/updated demo, though.

OT: I forgave Sega and Sonic team about a year and a half ago, actually, when I played Sonic Unleashed.

It's not half as bad as people make it out to be. I mean, the Werehog thing isn't so much enjoyed as tolerated, those stages in particular really drag, but they were competent, playable, and polished and I loved the shit out of the new Sonic gameplay. It was a game with a fair number of problems, I'll certainly admit, the difficulty ROCKET SHIP being one of them for sure, frustrating fetch-quests being another, but it was refreshing to have a game that didn't take itself seriously and I found it to be a huge step up from the previous 3D Sonic titles--even Adventure 1 and 2, in a lot of ways. I can say the same for Sonic Colors.

Really, I don't know what Sonic fans ***** about lately--Sonic's been on his A-game for a while now. That said, I eagerly look forward to Generations.

Yep! I tried it today. Can't wait to play stages like City Escape and more challenging levels on the full game :D
