Uh... yeah?

Sonic isn't their only franchise, and especially if you look at everything they've done in the last twenty-two years since the first one was released. I suppose it partly depends on what you mean by "made" though. Sonic Team makes Sonic games, so technically they're not really "made" by Sega, but a subsidiary of Sega. By the same banner, Sega has Yakuza, ChuChu Rocket!, Jet Set Radio, Phantasy Star, Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, House of the Dead, NiGHTS, Sakura Wars, Shinobi, Skies of Arcadia, Super Monkey Ball, Total War, and Valkyria Chronicles.

That's not even counting games they helped fund and published.

SEGA is a great publisher of single-player games that don't fit the AAA build. If they modified their pricing to reflect this (I think selling at 5/8 the price of AAA games would work) then they could carve out that corner of the market for themselves.

Alpha Protocol, Deadly Premonition and Binary Domain are great examples of this.

I can't believe you forgot...

Panzer Dragoon! (one of my favorite franchises by Sega, all the games are pure gold)

Also, an few others like, Space Channel 5, Vectorman, Ecco the Dolphin, Toejam and Earl, Beyond Oasis/Story of Thor, the Shining Series, and Virtual On.

So basically, yeah :p They may not make many good sonic games, or consoles anymore but they have been involved in a shit ton of awesome games. Unfortunatly their marketing department can be a bit useless sometimes so many games fly right under the radar. They ARE pushing the aliens colonial marines game, so i hope that does well. <--- after watching a live stream of this im hyped for it. Just unsure about the length of it, gonna wait for reviews :p

Where did you leave Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg!? That game was incredible. Great level design, innovative gameplay, and a whole lot of love made up this game's structure! It's just so happy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSkog6uT4So

They own Dev company The Creative Assembly who released the Total War: Shogun 2 as well as some expansion packs recently. They are currently working on a Warhammer Fantasy game.

SEGA also purchased Relic when THQ went under, who were well known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War RTS series.

Current games to be released soon (either published by them or developed by Devs they own) include Aliens: Colonial Marines and Company of Heroes 2.

Yes. Yes they have.

Okay, to expand on that yes, even outwith their mascot Sonic, SEGA have a wealth of games that they've either developed or published that can be considered at least "good".

I believe that SEGA was also behind the game Chromehounds. From what I heard it had some great multiplayer, but I'll never know because the servers were shut down just a few days before I could get my XBL account activated.

Well they're soon to release Aliens:Colonial Marines developed by Gearbox Software of Borderlands-fame. It's shaping up to be quite a game.

They are already sort of doing this, aren't they? Sonic Allstars Racing Transformed is going for ?40 at retail (instead of the usual ?60). I picked it up this weekend, and it is utterly brilliant! Actually, I'm finding myself enjoying more and more SEGA games the past few years. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I find their games to be refreshinging 'different', they feel a bit old school in a very Japanese way. More than anything, they're FUN to play.

Yakuza series is proving to be one of my favourites and a worthy follow up to Shenmue. I also really enjoyed Binary Domain and its futuristic Tokyo setting. And now Sonic Racing Transformed has me hooked. SEGA's experience with arcade games really shines through, just a top notch kart racer overall. I guess I should pick up Vanquish as well, heard lots of positives about that one.
