Mine is the SH series. I didn't play 1 or 3, but 2 was amazing in its atmosphere. 4 was boring, traveling through some godforsaken tunnel in the wall, and I never really got into the story. But Homecoming just took it too far. I appreciated some of the new combat tricks, but it still felt gimmicky and unpolished. There was no atmosphere at all, even though I cranked headphones and blotted out the sun with blinds. Not to mention it was short as hell with barely any exploring.

What's your series that seems to be going down the crapper as of late?

Solderer of fortune 2. This is the second time I've written about this this evening, and yes I KNOW you can blow things apart in the multiplayer, But I never played SOF for the multiplayer. I played it for the single player.
Call it dark, call it evil, but I wanna walk into the room, shoot someones leg off with a shot gun, then slowly walk up to them with the knife and finish it off. Or better than that, my favorite game, to see how many limbs I could shoot off before they hit the ground! :)

Personnaly, I think Every game with a sequel gets worst with time.
Thats the truth. Well not every single game but most of them yeah. I just hope they dont mess up BioShock 2. I'm really looking forward to that game

Hands down the C&C series, the new ones are Okay don't get me wrong, but in their own times say red alert, the original c&c, and red alert 2 (among others) totally out did even starcraft in it's own time... the "Stuff" we have no going by the name of C&C is more so a cheap impersonation of someone I don't even know trying to pass themselves off as someone I Did know... it's kinda creepy.

Guitar Hero. It's now a whored out crackhead that'll do anything for a quarter.

It's made by Activision. What game franchise by them hasn't been ruined?
I agree with this one. I officially gave up on Guitar Hero after the third one.

Dawn of War, the original was the only truly good and balanced one.

Also yes, i think Sonic, Mario and Zelda have had their time.

Anything?

Like, seriously:

Fallout. (And I liked 3, just not as much as 2.)
Mechwarrior. (4th killed the series)
Doom.
Quake.
Zelda.
Sonic.
Sonic.
Unreal.
Sonic.
Warcraft.
Guitar Hero (World Tour was mildly disappointing.)
Command and Conquer.
MASTER OF ORION (MOO 3 was horrendously terrible.)
Grand Theft Auto (Go back to 2's style, please. None of this gritty gangster shit.)
Battlefield. (Congratulations on making the same game 6 fucking times.)
Metroid Prime (Not as much - 2 was okay, but not that great...Hunters is pretty mediocre overall. I guess nothing will really capture the beauty of the first game.)
Civilization.
Rollercoaster Tycoon.
Starfox.
Super Smash Brothers.
Sonic.
Elder Scrolls (Daggerfall, RIP.)

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. Leaving a few things off so I don't get flamed, believe it or not. And leaving a few things off that got worse because "well it was never good to begin with, and just went from 'okay' to 'bad.'"

Grand Theft Auto went down after GTA3.
GTA3 was just stealing cars, doing missions and killing people. Thats it.

The new ones are turning more like a violent version of The Sims. going to the gym, buying food, buying property, clothes, modifying your car. all these things just distract from what the game should be.
