I apologize, I've made a thread similar to this in the past, but please bear with me... Recently I've noticed that the glands in my groin are slightly swelling on one side. They're supposed to swell when you're ill... I'm perfectly fine... Due to the anxiety of me worrying about this so much, I've been inspecting the area and I've recently found on the left hip, slightly underneath the hip bone is a lump, about an inch big maybe? Not sure, I'm not too good with measurements... When you touch it, it kind of moves where you finger isn't? If you get me, if you push down on it, all it's weight seems to shift to were the nearest space is... I have another one on the opposite size but it's no where near as big... I'm going to get it looked at on Friday, I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Any past experiance? It's driving me CRAZY and I can't wait 'till this is all over... Thank you so much!

Has it occurred to you to ask a doctor, rather than random people on the internet?

Sounds like cancer. I bet it's cancer. Dude, they're gonna have to amputate from the waist down.

On a more serious note, I have no idea what that is. I'd suggest finding a doctor. If you're too hard-up to afford that, there are plenty of forums for med students to discuss nerdy medical stuff. They're not allowed to dish out medical advice, but they do often throw their collective best guess at anyone who has a problem.

I am nothing close to approaching anything near the most basic of knowledgeable people when it comes to medical things like this, but the first thing that came to mind is a hernia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hernia]. It could be some type of hernia further down on the list, but I don't know. Might be worth taking a look at that link just in case.

Sounds like a hernia. But you need a doctor to look at it and be sure. In the meantime, don't but any undo stress on it.

Edit: I had a friend on my hockey team a few years back who had something like this (or so I heard). Possibly an athletic pubalgia, or sportsman's hernia. In which case it is not an actual hernia, though it resembles one. Either way...DOCTOR. NOW. GO!
