I guess so. I think my problem is very much a psychological one. My sister is exactly the same as me, it is very bizarre - especially considering that my parents are VERY sexually liberal (and both horny as hell).
Funny you should say that. Both me and my brother don't drink alcohol (he's not of legal age for another 2 months, but... well, I'm sure most people in the world start drinking alcohol before then). My parents on the other hand... Not alcoholics, but yeah. They claim it's seeing them drunk that's scared us off. A nice similarity.

And have you met a lot of other asexual people on this website...? Maybe that is the reason you can be completely happy with yourself.
AVEN has over 18,000 members currently. Of course, the majority of those are inactive, and some aren't actually asexual, but there are still a huge amount there. However, that had nothing to do with it. I only joined in March after refering to myself as asexual for years. I can't tell you when it started, but it'd have been early on, 14, 15 or somewhen. Originally, I just never thought about it, and the Asexuality thing was something of a joke. Fortunatly, I had good friends, who also paid little attention to it (which, I'm starting to think, is quite rare).

Indeed, I think the worst experience I've had was when my Tutor in 6th Form (College) was talking about some such thing that was related to relationships. I told her I wasn't interested in that sort of thing, and she replied that one day I would be. I mean, that's nothing. Who knows why it's stuck in my memory.

So yeah, I've been extremely lucky in my opinion. If I'd been in a more antagonistic environment, like many other asexuals, who knows.

Actually, I don't think that's quite correct.

Firstly I've heard that dolphins do it.
Secondly, do you think people have actually gone out and INVESTIGATED every species to determine this...? It isn't possible.

And lastly, even if they ARE the only ones... what does that signify? That it isn't therefore natural...?
Every animal (aside from humans) has a specific mating season that is scientifically documented. So, you either have to accept that humans are elevated above animals (thereby implying Creationism), or that sex is specifically for reproduction...

At least, that's the only way it makes sense for me.
The species is distinguished by relatively long legs, pink lips, dark face and tail-tuft through adulthood, and parted long hair on their head. There is a popular perception that Bonobos are a matriarchal species that engages in uncommonly casual sexual practices.[6] These perceptions have become more controversial in light of new research.[6] It seems though, that bonobos are female centred, more peaceful than chimpanzees, more egalitarian, and do have a much larger sexual repertoire.

Sexual intercourse plays a major role in bonobo society observed in captivity, being used as what some scientists perceive as a greeting, a means of conflict resolution, and post-conflict reconciliation. With the exception of a pair of Cohan gorillas observed doing so,[22] bonobos are the only non-human animal to have been observed engaging in all of the following sexual activities: face-to-face genital sex, tongue kissing, and oral sex.[23] In scientific literature, the female-female behavior of touching genitals together is often is referred to as GG rubbing or genital-genital rubbing. This behavior, however, has not been established as any more sexual in nature than a friendly greeting.[6]

Is your world crumbling around you yet?

I think of sex as an expression of how much I love having sex
I completely agree. The best relationship is one built on communication and devotion. Sex, for the most part, is just a selfish expression of how much you want pleasure.

Also, for all of the "but sex is natural" people, humans are the only creature on earth who use sex for any purpose other than reproduction.
Nope, Bonobos and Dolphins as well.

Or it could mean that we've evolved to a different level, but that's not an argument I want to start right now.

Casual sex is best with a partner whom you personally despise for two reason.
1) With a friend a sexual relationship can turn into infatuation which generally ends both the friendship and the benefits. Picking someone you can't stand will prevent this little buzzkill from ruining all your fun.
2) Angry sex is better anyway.

Besides a wise man DID say "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
That sounds as unhealthy as it is awesome.

How'd you end up with someone you hate?
It's really not that unhealthy. Just make sure to have a friend who doesn't mean applying a little alcohol to to the claw marks so they don't get infected LOL. As for me, a VERY scorned ex of mine hit me up a while back and I went for it. Even though it ended HORRIBLY and we both kind of want the other one dead, we had a mutual interest.

Sex isn't even slighty important in a relationship...
Um have you even wondered why there are sex therapist, books, guides, lectures and classes?
Just because something exists doesn't mean it's healthy to actively engage in it...

Besides, studies show that couples that wait for marriage to have sex have far fewer divorces.

I guess I just fail to see how sex builds a relationship at all. It's just personal gratification, and it would take some startling epiphany to make me think otherwise.
