So I was checking out the Steam Labs experiment, the third experiment, the automatic show. And while I think its a good idea, I saw that it looked like some sexy games were getting put in and so I was thinking it would be best to just put those in their own show and not with the general games. But then I thought to myself, "why?" I mean there are a good number of violent games shown, why should sexy games, even ones without even any nudity be excluded? I know why logically, since our somewhat puritan values would cause religious mothers to faint if they even knew that there might be a hint of sexuality to get in the way of little Jimmy popping someones head. But, I'm not sure why MY first reaction was to immediately go to "they should be segregated."

What does anyone else think of the Steam Labs experiment and what do you think of the sexy games being included?

From what I can tell its a YouTube playlist of games that are streamed? Are the games on sale?

As far as sex games, eh? Porn is free, and I'd feel really awkward knowing my steam friends can see I'm playing Hentai Puzzle Game Deluxe: No Puzzles edition.
I mean I can see no reason not to include them, save underage kids and overprotective parents throwing their fits, but from a general gamer perspective if you have blood and guts games, why not tits and dick games too?

What the Automatic show is that its a bunch of 6 second clips taken using machine learning from the vids from different games store pages. The entire Steam Labs thing is an experiment to help discovery of more niche titles or just titles you might not have heard of before.

I've found that sometimes porn games can really give... taking care of yourself a bang since you tend to get more connection then you do with just porn pics and vids. Although the most pornographic games not not to be on steam, there are still some good ones on it like Huniepop (match 3 crossed with a dating VN and sex), Sakura Dungeon (a lesbian "monster girl" dungeon crawler, no guys in it at all and no rape, which is weird for a japanese game), or Mutiny! (VN that has women with an extra bit on them (for the most part) , good art and really fun characters).

Interactivity goes a long way and you'd think people who play videogames would grasp this lol. It's its own animal, completely different from porn. Also most of those things are actually fun games on top lol.

That's not comparable. Violence itself is almost inevitable in most action games, and most M-rated action games are violent games. Sexyness is not only more subjective, but usually not inherent to games in general (and I'm pretty sure when you say "sexy games" you are referring to "sexy girls" with a definitive lack of "sexy men", aren't you?).

Seeing that the algorithm depends of the game's popularity, it's very likely that people will exploit the algorithm to make it show more sexy games on purpose just for the lolz.

True but I mean like graphic violence, like they had shots from MORDHAU of people being decapitated. I'm more of wondering why I didn't bat an eye at that but then see some sexy VN footage and think it should be segregated into its own vid category. But yeah, I'm generally talking sexy women, I don't recall seeing dream daddy or trap shrine in the video footage. No other sexy guy vn games come to mind, maybe that one with the tiger guys or that furry one or the other furry one.

Well, sexy games are a little underappreciated, so that explains their presence.
