I'm decently good at Street Fighter IV on Xbox 360, but I have a technical question and who to turn to but The Escapee's. Blanka's special moves entail some combinations that say or vice versa. I've read the manual saying to just tap in the direction, but to no avail. Can somebody clarify?

Yes, you hold back for two seconds and then you press foward, and then a punch or kick.

This is correct. This is also how you "charge" with Guile and (I think?) Rose.

... Why ruin a perfectly good controller?

you see, THIS is why i despise playing Street Fighter IV. don't get me wrong, it's a great game...but it's needlessly complicated. if i'm "charging" a move then how can i possibly mount an offensive or defensive if i am, in effect, constantly walking back or forward? bah! now i've gotten myself all pissed off again. thanks a lot, guy!

Well, considering you can do it mid-combo (sometimes), in mid-air, or while they're busy trying to beat their way through your guard...

You can jump foward while pressing back or down, once you are on the ground you compete the motion (foward or up).

It does get hard with Vega and Guile´s super moves, because of the diagonal movements.

You can also charge moves during Blanka's Coward Drop, so you can duck past fireballs and then punish the thrower with a Blanka ball before they can recover.

Also, you can charge while doing combo's, so that you can tag a Blanka ball into the end of almost every conceivable combo.

While we are on the subject (well, kind of), does anyone know how to use Leona´s desperation move effectively in KoF XII?
