I want to create this thread so we can share our experiences with Role playing Games, as much on PC as the more classic approach of pen and paper (with a ton of dices XD ).

What kind of characters do you build?
How do you usually play them?
How many cookies did you just eat?

Come and post the trials you went through that made you feel great, or sad or whatever, we are here to share our adventures, our hopes and dreams as adventures of the vast RPG world.

I will start :

I play a wide variety of characters but i tend more towards the Warrior or the Healer, and i am pretty erratic in the way i play.
One game i can be the hero of the people, generous and watchful, and the game after i will wait until you pay up before i even start stitching you up.

Here is one example of a character i played in the Pathfinder pen and paper RPG.

He was a tiefling versed in the art of alchemy, and did hesitate to sell home made brews that would keep them coming. Well, the odd thing about him was, as an alchemist i was able to have 2 extra arms and a set of wings, so pretty much i was a 4 armed winged devil born with a prehensile tail.
I meet up with the group yada yada yada... dint remember too many details but the main 2 were a paladin and a warrior with 3 other players. We go on an adventure, i get all the party hooked with my stuff, and the warrior decides at one point to try and kill me (maybe too many taunts that went his way ). I blow him up, he still survives and i give him a good healing potions (i am not a monster, yet ;p ), he then starts to to complain about the incident and always blabbering.
At some point an enemy slices his throat, he lies on the ground dying, i patch him up but oops, i cut slightly too deep and slit his vocal cords, damn now he is a mute.
Later on, my character was able to convince the paladin (without any in game skills) to accept a necromancer in out group and then to proceed with a gruesome torture using the paladins own holly weapon.

There is the story of one of my characters i had quiet a good blast with, and that i look back at it he was pretty much the devils hand.

Your story reminds me of another with a devilish story teller:
Maybe you should visit /tg/ [http://boards.4chan.org/tg/thread/33907360/so-tgwhy-do-you-do-it-what-drives-you-to-wake-up] (link will probably die in an hour) Or maybe don't.

Annnyway. I usually don't go for heavy roleplaying. In Elder Scrolls games I typically just change my style to suit whatever quest chain I happen to be doing. Not for my first character in Skyrim, though. Honorable Nord, so I couldn't bring myself to continue the Thieves Guild quests and started a new character.

Otherwise, in most tabletop games I'm pretty lucky so I do well... except Munchkin, I always lose at that. When I'm winning in a competitive setting I just turn maniacally happy. None of my own stories really escalate into anything grand or particularly interesting, just fun. Like when I had a ton of health and was being beaten down by my brothers character, who only had 1 health. But his toughness and armour gave my only a 5% chance of wounding him. Fun for us, not a real story.
