Should I but Skyrim, Skyward Sword, or the Metal Gear HD Remake?

Go with Skyward Sword. According to my friend who reviews games for Japanese sites, it's the best Zelda game yet, even over Ocarina of Time. It's in a whole other class from the other Zelda games.

If you're interested in Metal Gear, you've likely already seen everything it's offering, go spend your money on something new 
I know Skyrim is a sequel, but in terms of dollars per hour, I think it'll end up being bargain of the year!
Zelda I dont recommend or slate as I know nothing of it.
Really tho, we need to quit throwing our money at these endless remakes and HD versions, didn't we pay for all this once before? The movie industry keeps getting slammed for crappy 80s remakes, we shouldn't let the games industry get away with it, tho I'll give them credit for at least making the remakes BETTER, unlike the movie industry, which manages to crap all over a classic every time they touch one.

Skyward Sword and Skyrim are both probably must-owns, but Skyrim is going to give you a lot more content. I'd go with that first.

I would personally recommend Skyward Sword, as that is far and away my preference out of the two games. With it being claimed this is the best Zelda, which is bold (or traffic bait), I have every faith it will be a joy to behold.
However, I also acknowledge that Skyrim is most likely the better game, with a much more alive world and by the sounds of things a sizable amount of activities - if purchasing power is a concern I would go with the item most likely to give the biggest return.

Skyrim is pretty buggy, but absolutely amazing in its expansiveness. Also, it's the only one out of the three you listed that I actually own. So... Skyrim.
If you're into fantasy or RPGs or open world games, you'll love Skyrim. Don't know about the other games.
Skyrim has been awesome, but I wouldn't count Skyward Sword out as the reviews of it have been glowing. I think with all the casual crap they've done people have forgotten that Nintendo knows how to make an amazing game when they try.
It all depends on what you want. If you need something to keep you going for a long time, get Skyrim. If you want a shorter but more refined adventure, get Skyward Sword.

I wouldn't buy the Metal gear Collection, as SKyrim and SKyward Sord are games you'd be playing way longer than that, and if you still have your PS2, you can probably find all the games used at a much smaller fraction of the price.
So either Skyrim or Skyward Sword. Since Nintendo games don't drop in price usually, you might as well get the new copies while they are n mint condition. Skyrim will have a game of the year edition next year so if you don't like it well enough, you could just wait till then so you can get all the content.

Zelda first. You'll be done with it sooner in spite of how long I keep hearing it is (50+ hours...)
Skyrim will end your life as you know it, so I'd play Zelda first. Hell, I'd wrap anything else up that you might have outstanding before diving into Skyrim.
