Should I buy Call of Duty 4 in 2012?

I used to have a copy for the Xbox360 but a combination of dog on disk action and me no longer having gold I haven't played it in years. Is the game still as good and is it as good or better than Modern Warfare 3 in terms of content and map design? (I am speaking in terms of multipayer only and am planning on getting the PC version.)

I know the console versions of the older CoDs are now rampant with hackers and cheaters. And if that's true there then it's going to be even worse for the PC version.

On console? HELL NAH. If you can pick up a used copy really cheap and just want to play the campaign. But the multiplayer? Its pretty much dead thanks to no dedicated servers, plus the few people that are online are cheaters.

The PC version on the other hand is still worth getting. There are loads of full and active servers. Plus: PROMOD.

I went on it on Xbox yesterday and it was fine.

OT: Get it and play old school free-for-all. Can't go wrong.
