Should I buy Risen 2?

So Risen 2: Dark Waters is on a daily Steam sale until noon tomorrow for $4.99. I enjoy RPGs but have heard some pretty negative reviews on the game. So I have come to ask you fellow Escapists, is the game worth $4.99 or should I just watch a let's play instead?

It's one of those games that gets bombed by critic reviews but has a pretty good cult following from people like me. I found it to be a solid and enjoyable game but would be better played after playing risen 1. People trash it because the ship aspect of the game is absolutely minimal but the game is still great in the exploration department.

If you play the game, do yourself a favor and go rifles and turn around and run away without looking back at voodoo. Trust me.
