Basically what the subject says. A bunch of people have recommended it to me, but then I don't really consider them reliable sources (like my mother...)

So what do you think? I'm working off of IE8, I think. Is it worth going to Google Chrome as a browser?

Yes get chrome, it is far superior than anything IE has or probably will ever put out.

I use it.

Definitely get it. I used Firefox prior, and I never looked back.

If your computer can handle it and still run relatively quick, yes. It's already been said, but yeah, it'd take IE about 100 years to catch up to where Chrome is.

Yes, you should.
Using it now and it's pretty damn slick.

Personally I prefer Opera, or Firefox for those few sites that Opera doesn't handle well.

well I use Firefox but in all fairness with the exception of my mortal nemesis safari nothing is worse than IE.

I have both Firefox and Chrome and to me they are pretty much on par except for that Chrome has no toolbar clutter so it looks a hella lot cleaner than IE and Firefox

Okay, I'm pretty much sold except for this bit. You say Google will be collecting my browsing information? Like what sites I go to and such?

Really, Google. REALLY.
