Should I try going back to my old college?

Last spring, I was dismissed from Florida International University because I failed my Computer Science major. Currently, I'm enrolled in Miami-Dade College's Information Technology major. While the general consensus is that IT is more manageable than CS (significantly less math), I don't want to risk ruining my future because I decided to be arrogant.

What do you doods think?, should I try re-applying to FIU after the term ends?, or should I just accept that I'm shit and stay at Miami-Dade? (either way, having finally swallowed my pride enough to give up on my dreams for the sake of my future).

You're the only one that can answer that.

Did you fail because you didn't understand it or did you fail because you didn't try as hard as you could/should have?

If you failed because you couldn't wrap your head around it and have no way of changing that (like hiring a tutor?), then stay where you're at. If you failed because of reasons within your control, give it another go if it's something you want.

Seeing as you are in Florida, I would suggest smoking a large bag of meth mixed with PCP and then going on a crazed rampage dressed only your underwear...which should be on your head.

While you are not me, I spent too long trying to do that harder subjects that I thought I should do, rather than the easier ones that I was more interested in and better at. IT is still pretty useful I would imagine and you could do CS later with a better understanding if you wanted. Postgrads are a thing in the US yeah?

Well, I spent at least an hour or two each day just on the math, That said, I did mention that I changed majors.

I'd rather not contribute to the stereotype, not good for state PR. Also, if you mean taking college even after you get a degree, it is a thing here (it's just that massive tuition costs on top of living expenses might make things impractical, especially if you need to focus most of your day on your career).

I know, but I still need advice, and it's bad form to reuse a thread that's been abandoned for more than a week.

The advice you're going to get isn't any different than the previous time. And if you need ADVICE use the ADVICE sub-forum, that's what it's there for.

I've seen more results in the Off Topic forum to be honest, that's why I haven't used the advice forum.

If this is just a case of swallowing your pride, then do it. It's a one-off thing for what could be a better future (I don't know much about how the system work where you are, but you obviously feel one option is better than another).

Sadly, you're going to get knocked a fair bit in life. We all do, and it's crap, but it's the way it is. But never accept that 'you're shit', that's nonsense-crap (broadly speaking - you could be bad at math [I am] but that doesn't make you 'shit').

It does if it means I have no future. I am nowhere near lucky enough to live decently with anything other than a safe degree. That said, before you say it (assuming you're gonna), don't say it's all about being the best of the best, it's all luck. For proof, I have two words, Stephanie Meyer.
