Yes absolutely and completely, so long as the same or possibly even worse consequences are given to that of murdering adults. Fallout and Baldur's Gate allowed you to kill children (even 'chunk' them, basically a gore explosion), and in return you basically were despised and attacked by pretty much everyone. The message is simple really: behave like a psychopath and the games inhabitants will put you down like one.
Im not advocating "Kidkiller 5000", but the chickenshit system people like Bethesda adopt is just pathetic. Not only is the game filled with invincible children who will threaten to "blow your fuckin head off", but so long as a child is physically the age of 16, it suddenly becomes fine.
An example: A young child who happens to have the physical age of a 16 year old, realistically is mentally only about 8 or 10 years old because he grew up in a town of children called Little Lamplight. This is because those idiots at Bethesda thought a town of invincible children with foul mouths and a tendency to murder adults would be "cool" and "funny", when really its just "unrealistic" and "bullshit". Anyway, this young boy gets exiled from Little Lamplight now that he is physically 16 and is in need of a escort. Of course now he has the body of a young adult, he can be mutilated at will, and potentially you are encouraged to because of his childish and irritating personally.
Now if that wasnt bad enough, the game lets you ENSLAVE children. That is just backwards logic, and put it simply, if you disagree, you are WRONG.
As I have pointed out before, the most recent Aliens vs Predator film (unsurprisingly a stinking pile of shit) depicted a young child hunting with his father having a "chest burster" funnily enough, bursting through his chest if I recall correctly. Also if memory serves, the very same film also depicts pregnant women in a ward in a hospital being massacred by aliens along with all the other patients.
Any game depicting such a thing would be fucked seven ways from Sunday before you could bat a child-murdering eye.
Its just bullshit to the fucking extreme.
