its 12:08 AM Sunday im very tired but i had a idea for a thread bare with me.

Due to the PSN being down for 3 days or less.

i was thinking Should we be given something as compensation?

and what do you think we should be given.

I would say yes depending on the compensation. I would like a Persona 3 and 4 for PS3 just so i can play it

No. Outages happen, just got to live with it.

Edit - of course if they feel like making PSPlus free for a while then I certainly wouldn't say no ;)

Rewarded for what? Its an outage, it happens, shouldn't get you anything.

I have to deal with my internet going out all the time, but you don't see me demanding compensation. Well, except more stable internet, but nobody's selling that around here.

... No.

Not at all. You don't pay for the service, so why should they be expected to compensate you when it goes offline for a few days?

That's just silly.

Did xbox not go down around Christmas a few years ago and everyone got a free arcade game?

Something like this would be nice (LOLJK I DON'T OWN A PS3) but not necessary..!
Don't think so?

But that'd be totally different anyway. LIVE: Paid for

PSN: Free.

Except Playstation users don't pay for the online service, whilst Xbox user do. If Live goes down then Xbox users are actually losing something.

Why? Did you pay for your online capabilities? I'm pretty sure the amount of self-entitlement between gamers is over the top. Just in case you didn't get it, no nobody should get any compensation for it.

Although its unlikely to happen I wouldn't refuse the offer if it was there.

I didn't touch it once during the time it was out... I haven't touched it for about a year prior to the time it was out... I probably won't touch it for another year after it comes back on... what am I getting rewarded for? Only thing they should do is release a small statement saying "Yeah, sorry it was down. Thank you for your paitence" and I don't even think that is completely necessary.

Only reward I want is an explanation.
To many stories and finger pointers going around.
This one sums it up for me, an end to rumour would be nice.

Though I do like the one that said PSN is overgoing a major overhaul, that would be worth the disruption in my eyes

Maybe if it wasn't free the servers could be maintained better and they wouldn't be like this. Just my opinion though. We don't get compensated if The Escapist goes down so why should you be compensated when PSN (a free service at that) goes down?

Yeah. I bought the capabilities from a store. They were in a box marked Playstation 3.

OT: I don't see the need for compensation. They're doing their best to fix the problem, and that's enough for me.

Hell, it's nice to have a break from the people on my list that send me a CoD invite when I'm clearly not playing CoD.

I'm sure the servers for every game are going to be slammed when the PSN comes back online. There certainly won't be any problems finding full servers.

As they took it down themselves, yes I think the PSN Plus subscribers should get their lost days refunded. Other than that, there's little to compensate. If it'd just be an outage, okay, but they deliberatly took it down. At least from what I've heard.

No it did, did some retard not then sue them for not preparing for the holiday bandwith expectation.

Oh yes, how could I forget.. that's ever fanboy's argument ;-;
Well, I don't recall it. Perhaps it was before I got mine.

As for your absolutely retarded "You're a fan-boy herp derp" comment which is clearly layered with utter stupid, I play PC mostly anyway, I just don't see why PSN users should get compensation for not getting a service that they don't pay for.

PS+ and DCUO members pay though, such as myself (DCUO).

I think instead of rewarded, it should be compensated.

They have released a statement saying (in short) it's hackers who have done it, not saying Anon but some hackers.
