How many siblings do you have, and how well do you get along with them? I have two brothers and a sister, all of which are far older then me. (I'm the youngest by almost ten years) I get along fine with my sister, and one of my brothers is essentially my best friend.

But my other brother...ugh. I could go on and on about him. To put it simply, he's a complete and utter asshole in every sense of the word. If you lend him money for something he'll never pay you back, (Because he never intended to in the first place) he raises huge stinks in public over extremely small matters, has no patience and is a control freak.

So I'm just curious to see whether or not most people get along fine with their siblings, or if they get at each others throats more often.

I have two older brothers, the oldest is five years older, and the second 11 months older. As for the getting along part, well... it's not taht I don't like my brothers, it's more that we didn't really grow up together. Sure, we lived in the same house, but since I was a girl, I never got the chance to grow attached, I guess.

They're friendly acquaintances.

I have an older sister, a twin brother a younger half-sister.

My elder sister is extremely high-maintenance and her goal in life is to be a trophy wife. Therein, she has always been the pretty sister and I have always been the weird, nerdy one.

My twin brother and I don't get along, contrary to many twin stories. We once had our own language when we were four or so (I had to translate for him in pre-school.) but as our personalities developed, he gravitated towards my sister and I went my way.

My half-sister lives far away with her mother and is 13 years younger than me. She's a little brat sometimes but I still like her. I always get her books for her birthday and for Christmas.

One younger sister.
She's changed a lot since I went off to college so I really don't know much about her anymore.

I have 4 sisters.

Im the oldest.
Ages are 8, 11, 14, 15.
I love them but, most of the time i really don't like them.
:3
Oldest is Smart and popular but, if things dont go her way or according to plan then its game over man game over!

Second oldest is mellow most of the time but if you get her upset then good luck.
she can back up her words.

Third oldest is...well.....She likes to push people buttons and she is really good at it.
she is a natural leader and tries to tell people what to do all the time but gets upset easily because i wont listen to her.

The youngest is starting to act like a mix of the oldest and third oldest.
There all into sports as well.

I have two younger brothers.
The middle brother goes from tolerable to me wanting to strangle him as he falls into a bit of annoying selfish shitheadedness.
The baby brother is my favorite, since he behaves most of the time.

I would consider myself intelligent, open minded, insightful, and aware (as in, lacking in ignorance). My younger sister is none of these things.

I was raised as if I was an only child, but I have a half-sister sixteen years older than me, half-brother eleven years older than me and a half-brother twenty years younger than me. I used to be close with them but I barely keep in touch nowadays.

My sister is very compulsive and haughty, arrogant and thinks she's always right. She gave birth to my first nephew when she was eighteen, though. My mother's first.
My older brother used to be a Casanova but is a family man now, he's honest and indifferent to me, at the very least, so we get along but we barely if ever keep in touch. My mother's second.
My younger brother was the result of my dad's midlife crisis, which he went through during his and my mum's divorce. I see him maybe once every three months when my dad remembers he's got more than one son and isn't too swallowed up in his new family. Oh, and his current girlfriend is not his second son's mother.

Yes, my family is weird. And I am too.

I also have six step-siblings. One's six hours younger than me, I have no idea about the other, one's twelve and a total arse, the other is quiet and looney (which is why I like him and hate him; he's ... eleven? And I'm awful with children), and there are two others that I know exist but I have never met. This is the product of my mother's new man and my dad's new woman both having three children beforehand.

So to conclude, I'm the middle child that nobody cares about with a big "close" family that I don't care about. :D Then again, I don't care much for them either, so we're even.

Absurdly long and unnecessary post is absurdly long.

I have two older brothers who are 4 years older than me; we get along great. It helps that we agree on most things and don't really judge each others actions. Over-all, I'm pretty happy with my family.

I've got two younger sisters (one's 22, the other 19), and while they've got pretty different personalities, their flaws are exactly the same:

- They're extremely egocentric. It's not really that they're selfish, they just fail to see anything from any perspective but their own.
- They're unable to admit they ever did anything wrong, no matter how trivial.
- They will escalate any disagreement as far as it takes for them to 'win'. Crying and screaming like a 12-year old is their method to get things done their way.
- They lack any concept of 'inside voice'.

They're both good people at heart, but good god do they manage to annoy the fuck out of me at times. I guess that's more or less what siblings are for though. Luckily I don't see them that often these days, which has significantly improved our relationship.

Older brother - Freak, possibly the most boring man in the world
Older sister - alcoholic, violent, lying retard.
