I've seen a lot of different avatars ever since I've been on the Escapist. Some of them are cool, and some strange. So I'm wondering. What's the signifigance of your avatar.

Mine, well, Mario was probably the first game I ever played. It just feels specail to me.

Well, about 3 years ago I just made this name up randomly while playing WC3 with some friends and its stuck ever since. I just love panda's too and the name just seems unique to me. I use it whenever I need an alias now. My avatar is there to back up my name even further in proving that I am in fact...a panda. =P

I've always been a large fan of the Joker. His character (while bastardized in at least one television show and a few bad comic story arcs) is one of the deepest in the entirety of the graphic art world.

He sparks creativity in me every time I see him and I like that. I've adopted at least one part of his life attitude, the idea of adapting ones daily self to the ever changing world around them, it helps to spawn many interesting articles (interesting at least to me and really in the end that is all that truly matters).

Mine was just some avatar I used on another forum before coming here. Only using it till I can be bothered making an animated one that actually fits this site.

The design in my avatar is actually based off of a character of mine called Ven from a story I've been writing for some time. I'm not going to get into too many specifics about the story, but that design is on a featureless and smooth helm that fits tightly against his skull with no visible means of removing it. No seams between pieces, no nothing.

The helm itself is symbolic. The black side represents Ven's rigid commitment to his duties and some of the dark morally questionable things he has had to do as a result. The white side with the tear represents his own grief and sorrow for the sins that he has committed and how he cannot forgive himself for his past and the things he has done. The helm itself is a form of penance, a self-inflicted punishment for his past actions that he will not remove until he's finally learned to forgive himself for all of the dark deeds he has done in the name of a greater good.

He represents the decay of my imagination to tropes and clichés in my 17th year that I only realize now.
He was the avatar of a character that I developed on paper, which now I realize was rather typical in many ways.

Someone told me to make this mine after I said something about being hairy. So, I guess it means I buckle easily to peer-pressure.
