So, is anyone really looking forward to this, I haven't played a Silent Hill game since SH4: The Room. I heard Origins, and Homecoming were just dreadfully terrible.
This one is being developed by Czech company Vatra Games, who's history of game development is non existent basically, so I am hoping for a really good unleash-ment of creative genius from these guys since its going to be a major release and not just a footnote. Going to be Ps3/360 exclusive title, meaning no PC port like with the others as of late. (Glad I got a PS3 for god of war)
Story, from the trailer, looks pretty generic as far as anything is concerned, prisoner escapes into silent hill, police officer gives chase, I am betting somewhere down the road they realize they have to work together to get out of the town alive.
I am also wondering how much of the Movie they will try to incorporate into it seeing as that was turned into cult classic with how violently brutal it was, I wouldn't mind a scenario based thing where you have a safe house and X amount of time to be out in the hostile world before the enemies come to get you (like in the movie).
The biggest disappointment I have for it all is that Akira Yamaoka isn't doing the soundtrack. They got Daniel Licht (guy who does the score for Dexter).
I've got high hopes for this game.
