I'm one of those idiots that ignored all the warnings about this release and bought it for the PS3. For trophies and for having those two great games on my PS3 aw well. And because I'm a die hard fan of Silent Hill. And here is my punishment. Besides all the minor bugs and imperfections, SH 2 crashes, or glitches really bad at an alarming frequency. You never now when it will happen. So far I had three of those nasty glitches where you are trapped in room full of fog, or in pitch dark without being able to exit that room, and two times the game simply froze, crashed. So far five times all my progress was thrown away and I had to restart the console. How am I supposed to go for a high score, or even the 10 stars, if I have to constantly save for the fear of glitches? What a waste of time and money this release is! Please stay away from this garbage.

You know, maybe next time you should listen to people next time something is universally panned.

I mean really, there isn't a single person who thought that the HD rerelease was any good, so why did you think you'd be the one?

Obligatory counter statement: I've been playing Silent Hill HDC without any issues. Is there something wrong with me?

I haven't had any game breaking bugs. Just a couple of minor sound glitches.
Of course, there's also the horrible graphical downgrade and somehow shittier new voice acting, so I agree with the general sentiment. Old copies FTW.

You know, I'll always be one of those who sees the charm in the old voice acting, but were the newer voices really that bad? Or just jarringly different?

Personally I didn't like at all the new voices. I thought that the old voices were just what the game needed.

You hear that...?

That's the sound of me hugging my original copies of Silent Hill 2 and 3.

Shoulda given production of the HD Collection to Blue Point, Konami. You know, the studio you hired to make the MGS HD Collection. The one that was awesome.

That's actually really disappointing. I heard they put out a patch about a month after it came out that pretty much fixed everything, but if it's still broken... Dang, I really wanted it. :p

Props to that HD Collection for pulling MGS2, which looked quite dated on the ps2, and making it look stylized and pretty.
