The objective of the game is simple--survive, but how you will do it is up to you. This is an RPG that almost completely relies on improvisation. Making your character is simple, you start out with 100$. You can spend this by posting links to Amazon.com of the items you will buy. You can spend less than 100$, but anything that you do not spend will be lost. You will not need to spend money on basic clothes, you start out wearing a T-shirt, jeans, underwear and a pair of basic tennis shoes. Take into account that most of the enviroments you are faced with will be anyting but natural. You will recieve an additional 100$ for each day that you survive and 300$ for each PM challenge you complete.

Next, choose your profession. This can be any non-military profession that gets paid on average less than 80,000$/year in the US. Again link me a source for this one.

Finally, pay attention to your PM box. I may PM you with special challenges or cryptic messages that may give you an advantage. I will always be PMing you as some kind of character from popular culture, and if you can name who it is I will give you a piece of useful information.(Note: This does not complete any challenges, but I may give you a clue on how to complete them if you name the correct character) PM me back to respond unless I tell you otherwise Finally I will start the game when 5 people join, but more people can join until I post that the game is closed in this thread.
Edit: Very little information is given on purpose as information is an important commodity in the game. Do not form a character profile, your backstory will be revealed as you struggle to survive. No shipping and handling will need to be paid. Basic food and water needs will always be met as long as it is possible to acquire them in your current state and with the tools you have. In most days food and water will not even need to be acquired as food and water will be provided. There will be enough food and water for everyone to survive on every day. Some of it may be difficult to acsess; however, you will want to manage the food and water together among your teammates unless you happen to want your teammates dead. Teammates may actually not be a good word to use, keep that in mind.
Day 2 has started!

Do we have to pay shipping and handling for the products? Is it safe to assume food, or basic water needs will be met?

Hahaha, awesome. Yeah I know I was getting the error message as well for a while. Some suggestions for other items: Things that help you get places, things that can be made into makeshift explosives, things that can open doors etc., etc.

Well you'll almost surely survive the first day and you'll get some more cash to spend if you want. Also do keep in mind that you will need to be able to carry everything that you buy, no magic inventories available, but you thought that out well with your beginning info, so this is really directed at anyone else who wants to make a character.
Edit: Yeah of course since there is a lot of improvisation involved, you can do anything you want with your stuff including drop it, so if you want to drop something so you can keep something more valuable, you are free to do so of course, just make sure you post it.

explosives i didnt know that amazon sold det. cord
Amazon sells some objects that contain combustible substances and also sells some fairly low power fireworks. You may find a shop somewhere that sells more potent explosives in-game as well. *hint, hint* You are right though, Amazon doesn't sell explosives that would be useful in a decent variety of situations. Still, take a look at the other 2 items I suggested.
