Wikipedia and Google images were blocked from my old school.

At the school I'm at now,Imageshack is blocked which can be annoying for projects, but the system pretty liberal.

At my school, pretty much everything is blocked, we can't even search "Mona Lisa" on google because "Mona" is a blocked search word. Also, even though google images isn't blocked, there are only one or two images per page that aren't blocked. Also, this website is blocked now.

The two that I remember off the top of my head were Google and (drumroll please) the school's own e-mail system. When we asked about these, we were told that "Ask Jeeves was the school's preferred search engine" and that "we knew full well why."

We still don't know full well why.

Google images used to be blocked. Then they realized everyone could get around that block, so they unblocked it.

My school uses some old internet thing called Comsifter. And guess what? It blocks it's own website. I tried to go on Comsifter.com, and it's blocked...ha.

It really doesn't do a good job either, I can get on Aol, facebook, prettymuch anything really.

I think the "worst" website I've dared try to access on my University network was 4chan and it was either down or blocked. Not sure. I don't think anything should be blocked at the U if it is. It's a university. What if I want to research 4chan?

That's not a massive loss.
This was before they changed it for the worst. It used to be something I would not like, but now it wouldn't matter to me.

At school, the World Wildlife Fund's site was blocked as an effort to try and block the World Wrestling Federation. Not only did it fail due to a name change, the "experts" who blocked it couldn't figure out how to unblock it, and students weren't going to tell them any time soon.

At work, every site except Yellow Pages, Whereis, and (oddly) the Apple Store is blocked. Even the company homepage.

Youtube was blocked for a while, but it's not anymore. Failblog is blocked for "adult materials."

Anything with the word "Game" which makes doing a project on the Hunger Games hilariously impossible.

This site, as well as the search function on TVTropes. You can still get to pages on it using the URL or by hitting random, but you can't use the search bar. :\

sexual education

Oh, and advertisements.
