This just came out. Not sure why nobody posted it yet, but take a look.
What do you think?
After the minor disappointment that was Dark Souls 2 this is looking pretty great so far. Atmosphere feels nice and dark, and seems to have that nice feeling that Demon's Souls had where the world is a living place and you're coming in a fucking things up and they're mad at you for it.
Plus, that weapon. That weapon! That awesome little mix of various ranges, power attacks and the general attack animations, plus sidestepping and guns that (so far) don't seem OP or out of place! Wonderful. Oh, and the blood splatter on the clothes is a touch I really like.
Also the health thing. Not sure how I feel about that but it does seem kind of neat. From what I gather, when you get hit there's a second or two where you can attack and restore some of (or all) of the lost health. Now this could work wonderfully or not work at all. Hopefully other healing techniques are nice and rare so it cements that style of play.
Going from what the video showed I'm not sure if the bosses are going to have a mix of unqiueness from Demon's Souls and challenge from Dark souls, but hey, so long as they're even slightly better than Dark Souls 2 bosses I'm well up for it!
So yeah, pretty big hype right now. I've been scarred before, and I won't be getting it right away due to not having a PS4, but I'm certainly hopeful.
