So i had the game about a week now and I'm loving it but my one complaint is that the horses are too badass for their own good. That's right, for a mild investment of 1000 gold you can have your very own horse that isn't good for killing much other than wolves yet feel the need to charge at everything be it dragon or ice troll.
I have 2 solutions for this and I think my second one would have been a much nicer addition to the game. Either lower the prices of your emo steed or give the player the option to slap it on the ass when he dismounts and have it pull an Ashely (a la RE4) and then have the ability to call it back when you're ready to ride again...... As opposed to paying 1000 gold to feed Skyrim's aggressive wildlife. You think after games like Zelda and Red Dead Redemption the option to call your horse would be somewhat standard in games that have them.

RDR horse system was great, not sure whether it would fit in Skyrim but I'm sure modders would prove me wrong...

I think if it was copy/pasted (of course not that simple but bare with me) into Skyrim it would bring a whole new depth of gameplay into Skyrim. We could have capture alive quests, perhaps horseback combat (at the risk of your horse dying during the battle of course). Maybe even a skill tree of horses.

Anyway, that's just me. Maybe in the next elder scrolls. But then I'll be complaining about the dragon flying mechanics.

I just find the horses slow and impossible to handle.

It's much faster to just Whirlwind Sprint your way through the wilderness.

Well they have the advantage of if you start getting chased you can sprint out of there and usually the monster will stop following you. As opposed to moving on foot where I was once chased by 3 frost trolls (who killed my horse while I was killing 1 of them lol) and they chased me up a mountain peak where they then pummeled the dragon I found to death. I didn't escape until I became ethereal and jumped off a cliff.
