Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not save games from vanilla Skyrim are going to work with the Legendary Edition?
I know in the past that Bethesda GOTY editions were registered as different SKU's on systems, showing up as though they were different games. Have they been compatible in the past?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't remember having problems with saves from the regular FO3 and the GOTY edition, I don't see why there would be any for Skyrim.

Why...would the saves not be compatible? Isn't the Legendary Edition just Skyrim + DLC? It is the same game, so it should use the same save structure.

They show up as different games, at least on PSN. Someone playing Fallout 3 GOTY will have 'Fallout 3 Game of the Year' under their name, not 'Fallout 3'.

Ah...well, in that case, can't you move the saves over somehow? Sorry, not a console player but as far as I know, you can plug in flash drives and copy some info over. I think. If so, can't you transfer the saves?

I just had a brainstorm. My current Fallout 3 copy is GOTY. Checked my old saves and Trophies and they're labelled simply as Fallout 3.
If Fallout 3 is compatible, then Skyrim should be too.

Thanks for reminding me of my old Fallout 3 saves :D

Well...umm, yes. Erm, it was clearly my intention to jog your memory in that direction, therefore your thanks is accepted. Now, just to clarify had I not intended that, I might have been confused, pleased to be of service, but confused. And maybe I would have said something like "No need to thank me". But that is not the case.
