I keep having trouble getting to sleep lately for some reason because the positions that I usually sleep in aren't comfortable anymore. They all either put one of my arms to sleep or are just plain uncomfortable. I have woken up too many times with my entire arm completely numb then when I try to get out of bed my arm swings around like dead weight and knocks everything off my nightstand.

Describe some comfortable positions to sleep in and include arm and leg placement.

P.S. I don't like to put my hand under the pillow because my pillow is getting old and flat and I don't want to buy another one.

I sleep rather awkwardly, with my top half on it's side with one arm under the pillow, and my bottom half flat as if I was lying down and my legs stretched out in odd positions (wherever there's a cold spot).

Works for me but I don't recommend it.

How is the other arm positioned?

Hmm normally I sleep with my body facing the bed, head towards either side (I switch constantly), and I have an arm underneath my pillow. You could try laying down without your arm under the pillow, I believe it is supposed to be more relaxing.

If it's too hot, I sleep with one leg sort of folded into the duvet, and one out of it.
Lower arm underneath the pillow, beneath my head. Other hand sort of outwards. Arm beneath pillow works for me even on flat or uncomfortable pillows, I've found.

Now, for my forum answer.
Try taking some PEEELZ! Or are there none left? Louis really did grab everything he could.

I normally sleep lying straight, hands along my side or above the covers. I don't know if I am someone to take advice from though; since I often take a long time to fall asleep.

I tend to curl up on my side hugging a stuffed puppy (his name is Dr. Satan). I've found that if I don't have something to hang onto, like a pillow or stuffed animal then I can't find a good place for my arms. Lots of times I've woken up flat on my back but I usually start on my side.

Also, you might want to look into new pillows - I didn't realize how bad my old pillows had gotten until I got new ones and slept MUCH better.

Now, I sleep in the weirdest way. I lie on my back, as one does, my legs curled up to me in a ball, and I 'roll' my head, by which I move it from side to side, as if shaking my head to refute some claim, but, and this is the catch, in my bed...
