I'm going to play Slender (Yes I'm already decided on this) but is there any sort of preperation the good people of The Escapist can recommend or other ways to still be capable of falling asleep afterwards?

Apparently, you have to avoid looking at him. That'll make him angry.
Also, once you pick up a note, don't turn around. That'll make him angry.
Oh, and don't play the game.
You can probably guess what that'll make him.

search the building and the oil tanks first before picking up any other notes, you'll understand when you start playing for a bit.

Also there is no pause button, I thought esc was pause on my first try, I accidentally shut down the game XD

If you want to sleep, dont play it if you are of a nervous and over imaginative disposition!

Just watched a video, it looks awesome! (any average person would shit themselves)

If you don't know who the slender man is, he is a fictional/mythical entity who as you can guess from his name is very tall and thin. He also has no face, the slender man captures little children and they are never to be seen again.

This game basically throws you in a forest where you have to collect 8 pages and avoid being caught by him, apparantly the best thing to do is never look behind you xD

EDIT: This is the video I watched

Get to know the map first before you pick up any of the pages, rumor has it that he doesn't spawn until you pick up your first page. Once you know the layout, pretty much determine the fastest route between each page, and pretty much just keep moving from page to page. Seriously the biggest mistake people do is freaking out and looking around, it slows you down and gives the slender man time to catch up to you, especially when you get to like the 6th page his speed is pretty much slightly faster than your own. As for sleeping after, I don't know about anyone else but I laughed my ass off when I saw him for the first time, I was like who the fuck is this poorly detailed fellow...oh this is the villain?

hehe, that's a good way of looking at it, I actually want to be scared by this though... It's been too long since I've had a good fright (back to my first playthrough of Amnesia)

Just play the game. It's not scary. It's just some dude that stands there. The first time I played it, I actually tried to walk to him and talk and then I died. The funny thing about the game is that there is some building and you can see everything perfectly fine without a flashlight but outside, under I think clear sky, you see jack shit without it.
