Small Misunderstandings

I have a strange question to all of the Escapist. Is there some sort of taboo against petite women? I get so many strange looks when I go on dates with tiny women and at one point I was nearly arrested for "soliciting a minor", yet the women was 24. Another date and people thought I was into men because my date had short hair and looked like a "feminine dude" as one of my friends put it. I am just wondering if this happens anywhere else or the people here can't tell the diffrence if she doesn't have large breasts.

As for added discussion value, what was the strangest thing to happen to you while dating?

Well, from my little section of the US I've never heard of a cultural thing against dating small women. I do think the people where you live are incredibly judgmental though. I mean really? The cops got involved without anyone even asking first? That's unacceptable behavior.

I have never heard of those problems where I am from.

The girld looking like a bloke thing... that was probably your friends letting you know subtly that they thought she was a bit ugly... and that maybe the hair didn't suit her.

In terms of odd things... I have met with 3 girls from online dating sites, and the first time of meeting each of them we did different things. One to London Zoo, one to the London Aquarium and one to a Comedy Club in Reading. All 3 first dates, for some reason involved, at some point, an official photographer trying to take our photo.

There is nothing more awkward than posing for a photo with someone you have litterally just met for the first time, and trying to make it look natural!

I see where you are coming from but it is not something that happens regularly. Generally speaking it has to do with the misconception some people have that all petite women are minors. Personally I know several women that are in their mid 20s and early 30s that are always mistaken for being minors. It's stupid but a somewhat valid assumption in areas where people are being alert for sexual predators.

Odd things in dates.

Not as much as odd but something that I didn't expect at all: My date who was seven years older than me at proved herself both a sadist and a masochist in the span of a couple of hours.

Good Times...

Especially since we ended up as lovers for a few months.

God I miss her.
