Grainger Games, a fairly small chain from the north of England *really* messed up at a Game Awards Evening last night. Check the link for more details, pretty hilarious.

Wow, they sound like complete douchebags. I kind of wish they had a branch here in America so I could go in and tell them that I won't ever be shopping there ever.

Well guess what company i'll never be buying my games from.
I love how insincere their apology is aswell, here it is:

"We wholeheartedly apologise if we offended anyone at last night's GMAs. It was never our intention to upset anybody. We sponsored the awards to show our support for everyone involved in games media and we continue to value and appreciate all their hard work and commitment. "

Idiots.

Step 1. Put head in hands

Step 2. Groan

I doubt they'll even survive long enough in the industry for me to get the change to refuse to ever buy any of their games.

I'm surprised they didn't get Dara O'Brien to do the event, as he's the only comedian who has ever actually admitted to playing video games.

I was hoping some explanation would be offered for the condoms... I don't know whether to be disappointed or relieved that the offending rubber items played no further part in this tale of idiocy and disgrace.

This is great! Everyone knows that retail staff loathe the companies they work for. Thank you, Grainger Games, for providing the perfect opener for my next conversation with the genuinely nice people who staff my local establishment. We northerners like a good moan - it's basically a sport 'round these parts!

I'm pretty sure this was a crying and desperate sign for attention due to the fact no one had heard of them before.

I have a Grainger Games which I walk past every day on the way to uni. The staff there are...honestly pretty decent people from what I've seen. I'm sure at least one of them is burying their head in a bucket of arsenic at this news.

Seriously though, that's fucking embarrassing. Why would anyone think that was acceptable at an awards ceremony?

Wow...Just Wow...I haven't encountered anything that ridiculous and I went to a public school in a relatively shitty neighborhood. Never heard of them before now but then, I'm on the wrong side of the Atlantic to have really known of them to begin with. Looks like if I ever do make it over to the U.K. there's one game's retailer I won't be visiting.

Wait they crashed the gig they were sponsoring? What?

I love it when people are so illogical, it keeps things interesting.

If only sponsorships from other industries did this more often... It'd be like if the representatives from all those smaller scale insurance companies that sponsor all the crap football teams went and trashed a football pitch mid game...

Aww dammit now i really want to see that happen!
