I had a puff from a cigarette after a few too many drinks and being seduced by a 8/10 woman. Its horrible. I've never had breathing problems and I've already set my mind that I'm not going to touch the stuff again but here's some questions that I shall ask: Will this one puff affect me for good and I can carry on living as normal or is it too late?

EDIT

Reason I'm a tad upset is because my grandparents died from it and for anyone who's seen relatives die from cancer or emphysema know its terrible to watch. When my grandad died when I was 12-13 I vowed not to take any.

No, not unless you continue to do it. It's amazing what a little bit of self control can do.

No. You've been contaminated. Soon you will shrivel up and die.

OT: Seriously, one puff will not cause you to have long term effects. You don't see me dying here and I've had. TWO puffs.

You've now got cancer. I'm sorry.

Unless you've got a serious case of asthma I doubt your panic.

No, one puff will do about the same damage as walking through a dense city for the duration of your puff.

Your body can get over it. Just don't smoke anymore than it can handle. i.e regularly. Don't worry OP, you're safe. But don't make it a habbit.

You're now hopelessly addicted until the day you die, which will be soon because of the lung cancer you got.

Chill out.

As long as you didn't inhale you can still become the President of the United States.
