So, About Squeenix and the Wii

They announced some games. Such as a KingdomHearts for the DS which little fankids are screaming over like it's Christmas.

What caught my attention was the Crystal Bearers game. You know, the Final Fantasy one. I hadn't played the two other Wii Crystal FF games and can only assume that the latest one will have the same mechanics as the last, no? The graphics were pretty, but the gameplay? They said it was an rpg, but I saw no rpg elements.

What are your thoughts?

Any links or information that can be spread around?

What do you mean by no rpg elements, cos if you mean it has to be turnbased, all i can say is whatchoo talkin bout action rpg's are great.

Well, there's rpg, then there's action adventure and platformer. There's the main FinalFantasy series, then there's Zelda, Metroid, and Mario Galaxy. Which does FF:CB lean towards?

I missed most of the Nintendo conference
And I can't seem to find a video of it anywhere, but I can say that all RPGs are not the same. Final Fantasy Tactics, for example, does not play like the main Final Fantasy games, but it is still an RPG.
I'm interested to see the gameplay, because I don't want to comment or build an opinion until I can see it myself.

I think it should be interesting either way, it's an interesting departure from the other titles in the series, that's for sure.

Hm, after watching both of those it does seem quite different from any other Final Fantasy title I've played. I agree now, there aren't any obvious RPG elements, but I'm sure they are there.

And is it just me, or does it look like this game is using the exact same color palette as Blue Dragon? Almost all the zones and the effects reminded me of it.
