I just got my game informer today and was excited to see a cover story about the new Army of Two. Unfortunately I must of misread the title because it was clear that the game that is currently in development is Call of Duty: 3rd person co-op. IF you haven't read the article the studio is saying they are removing all of what I consider made Army of Two the wonderfully flawed series it was. No more high fives, fist bumps, head buts, or off beat one liners. Now we have "serious" protagonist and a more "mature" story.
This is a trend that is seriously starting to piss me off. Games, like all other forms of art, are supposed to be a form of escapism. In case you hadn't noticed the world kind of sucks right now. Hell i haven't sat down and watched the news in over a year in a half because i got tired of hearing who got shoot, stabbed, raped, scammed, or screwed over in any other way. If i want to escape i want to go somewhere that doesn't suck as bad as the real world and Army of Two was one of the few games that still able play were you weren't in for a couple hours of watching people moan and ***** and be serious.
I kind got off my original point but i am just so tired of direction that the industry is going in and wanted to vent. My argument was neither eloquently made or well written out but i said what i wanted to say. comment or don't i really dont give a dam
