Hey there. Usually, I remain in the fiery den that is the Religion & Politics subforum, but today something went really well for me and I just felt like going to a different, less fiery but a lot weirder den instead.

I just got my mail and learnt that I just barely secured myself the better grade on my final written exam, so I'm in a really good mood. And I'm not talking final exams of the semester or final exams of the year. I'm talking final written exams of university, period. I still got an oral exam ahead of me (no, not with a kinky librarian or whatever), but that one is heralded as more of a formality. So, what I'm going to do, is bring out the scotch and relax and wallow in... what's the opposite of self-pity? Self-pride? Self-confidence? Whatever!

So, I feel a lot of positivity right now and try to forget about some of my buddies who didn't get as unfairly lucky as I did. Then I thought, why not bring some of that positivity to the interblag? What went well for you this week? What are you happy about? Did something you were really uncertain about turn back around and, I dunno, fix itself or just work out for some reason? Share your stories, if you want. I'm off to get the ice now... needs to be on the rocks, after all.

I guess. Well the unexpected day Beta on Guild Wars 2 last Monday left me annoyed as that was the same day I had to work in the evenning due to stock counts. None the less at least I still ahd some time to play it once I got back from work.
Also I guess it went well in that Diablo 3 was delivery on time despite I was expecting it to arrive yesterday (I didn't pay extra for the release date delivery) and I weren't too bother with the Error 37 as I didn't had time for games on last Tuesday anyway.

Meh, it's been pretty average. Nothing bad happened, just nothing great.

I handed in my last essay of the first year of uni...which really didn't carry as much circumstance as it felt like it should.

Erm...I found diamonds on minecraft!

...Yeah, that's about it. Not a terrible week by any means, but not a particularly amazing one, not yet at least. The weekends looking amusing, what with people being done with work.

Keep 'em coming, folks, I barely got a buzz going by now. :)
It's interesting to see so many different (in kind and extent) positive experiences.
I suppose I should've expected as much, it's not like life-changing or otherwise major events happen every week!
Still, very interesting to read your experiences.

Well on Monday Aston Villa sacked Alex McLeish as their manager after a season of truely pathetic defensive football (soccer if you are American and wrong) in which we just about did enough to avoid relegation. That put me in a good mood for a couple of days and then my ticket for Download Festival arrived yesterday which put me in a good mood again.

Pretty much a good week for me.

Skeleon? What are you doing in the off-topic board?
Gaaah! Reality is breaking apart! The laws of physics are compromised.

OT: Well, I think a bird shat in my coffee for breakfast, but I've been pretty happy all day.
My russ period is over, which is sort of a landmark in my life. Moving on from upper secondary and all.

I dunno, it may have something to do with the drinking. It warps reality, I hear, and causes people to do all sorts of odd stuff!
Also, somebody who writes my nickname properly and doesn't call me Skeleton? Reality is breaking apart.

Hey, I hang out a good deal on the R&P boards. I know the guys.
But that might just be the impression I'm getting because I don't post all that often there. I'm not interested in politics and the people on there can be pretty tiresome to interact with.
And I can't bring myself to stop posting even wen I say I'm going to...

Even "the guys" often get that wrong, so kudos to you.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

What exactly is a "russ period"? Sounds like it has something to do with career and/or education?

Really?
Huh. Maybe I'm just superhumanly observant. Yeah, we'll go with that. I will use these powers for good.

Oh it is. When you're dealing with an idiot or troll with whom "discussion" is entirely meaningless and extremely annoying and you tell them to not bother replying to you because you will not be participating in the discussion any longer. That's when it is good to be able to stop posting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russefeiring

It's a period of celebration lasting from may 1st to 17th. It's focused on binge drinking and casual sex, both of which I'm terrible at.
But you get to wear brightly colored, loose fitting overalls, and a labcoat that you draw all over, for 17 days straight, so I'm happy just hanging out with my friends.

I got more birthday money than I was anticipating.

[sub]I also got it in advance, since my parents won't be around on my actual birthday.[/sub]

This is vindictive, but oh did it feel good.

A little shit of a student in one of my classes was rude to my boss this week, prompting her to take my year-long cries of 'he's the anti-christ in sneakers' seriously and call his Mum in to discuss why the hell he's such a nasty, charmless toe-rag. His face went from a smug 'what are you going to do about it, peasant' to 'shit! Not my Mum! NOT MY MUM!' to such a look of resignation that I *almost* felt sorry for him. but not quite.

BEST.WEEK.EVER.

1 year of teaching and I'm already a bitter, twisted teen-hating hag! love it.
