Ok, so I got the idea from a spambot thread called 'So Cheap, So Perfect!' (would link it, but it's a spam thread and I'm fairly certain that it was already taken down), which I thought it'd be about things that are cheap but good. It wasn't, so that's where I come in!

So fellow Escapists, what are some things that while cheap, you love?

Me, one thing is fried green tea ice cream. Japanese place by me has these perfect magical wonders for $4 USD.

Melatonin - $8 bucks for 60 tablets.

That, for me, is 26 cents, a night, for great sleep. Its the best deal I've ever come across.

It's only about $2 a bottle, but put some on a good steak and it doesn't just taste nice, it makes said steak taste orgasmically good. Plus it's delicious on all sorts of other foods and it isn't so spicy it leaves you guzzling a gallon of milk down after only a few bites.

When it come to getting lunch I love getting a chicken/ Steak bake from Greggs (bake foods) since they're only £1.15. Otherwise I would go to KFC or McDonalds or just get something in a cafe which would cost alot more. Well to be fair you are getting a meal from those places but a chicken/ steak bake suffice for me.

Brand cola. 2$ for a 2 liter bottle, tastes just about the same as Coca-Cola.
I've never had it taste anywhere near normal coke...huh, then again my tastebuds are weird.

Man, I tried that stuff for the first time down in Georgia (in home-made Gumbo) my god I wish we had it back in Australia.

OT: 24 cans of Pepsi for $9, cheap for Australia but that IS on special. While not as delicious as Coke IMO that's pretty good when you have friends around or need your soda fix.

Ninja'd. So since I can't use that, other then to agree, I'm going to go with mods for games, they're free and create even more enjoyment for something you already own.

If we're talking buying something then I'm going to say fish and chips, it's awesome and cheap and ooooooh so good.

Go to a second hand book market/book store. Most books'll cost you £2 or under. Hell, even Amazon do super saver literary classics for next to nothing. If you have a kindle (the cheapest, naturally), go download every free book you can. There are dozens to get through before you've even spent a penny.

Ramen. For at most a $1 you get a filling, tasty meal.
What kind of gourmet ramen are you buying?

Packs around here go for, like, $0.50 at the most. Normally ~0.20

I got the binding of issac for like....5 bucks. I have put over 60 hours into that game; great value for my money. Im gonna go with ramen as well. Get some garlic powder and hickory smocked salt, maybe some eggs and some chopped ham, put it all in the ramen and you have yourself a cheap, well filling meal.

Prime cuts of steak for about £2 a go.

When a supermarket is your corner shop and you know exactly what time they roll out the end of day deals from the butchers counter, you can live like a king.... A KING!

Also, pawn shops for PC games, they are often the cheapest, shoddily made pile of crap games compilations out there, but they are worth an hour or two for a laugh with your mates.

But the biggest value thing I own is my PC.

Scratch built and cost me £400 in parts 5 years ago... and can still run most things on high settings at between 45/60fps without a hiccup.

^^^ Wise words, as usual :)

Also, Polo mints. I love those things, and they're very cheap here in Ireland...

A huge chunk of my entertainment for over a year has been videos from my Youtube subscriptions which have cost me the total of nothing.

I also like those Keebler Cheese and peanut butter cracker things. I think it costs me 40 cents for 6.

2 spicy chicken sandwiches and a bag of fries from McDonalds. I know it's uncool to like McDonalds but for $3 I get a decent meal...$4 if I want a drink but I don't generally do that...also for $4.01 I can get 2 chicken biscuits from McDonalds in the morning.

I watch youtube videos all the time too which is free entertainment. Completionist, Game Grumps, Game Theory...All sorts of stuff really (in addition to the fine programming I watch for free on here every week)

oh sweet jesus i need to get that...after having a combined 9 hours of sleep in the past 3 nights, i would love to just zonk out.

OT: well mods, because they are free and half the time are better than costly DLC :D
