To those who didn't know, Gravity Falls has aired its final episode yesterday and unlike most cartoon out there, it's finihed for good. No season 3, spin off, preclude or of any sort as far as I know (the creator confirm he's done with it and intended to have an ending).

Anyway I'm just wonder who else has watched the finale?

The episode ended perfectly and Alex Hirsch did keep his promised that all plotholes will be resolved.

The one hour special was a blast especially the mecha/ kaiji like fight, Bill demised (I forseen fanfic that he still lived within Stand mind seeing how he was able to regain his memory) and the farewell!

I did thought it was abit too much of a happy ending when Stan was able to regain his memory or rather I thought he would regain sometime later like McGucket. Still I prefered a happy ending over a bittersweet (I just easily saw Standford looking after him and took over his role when it happened).

As for the mystery circle, I had a feeling it was a way to contain/ defeat Bill (I notice the patterns were on the outside while Bill was inside it as if he was trap) and finally it was explained despite it never got fully used.

The two nickpick I got are just these three-
(Shipping mode) Dammit, I wanted to see Pacifica give Dipper a kiss (on the face) as a farewell gift. Still I'm glad she did had a role to played in the episode.

We still didn't get to hear Dipper real name nor do we see their parent!

Is the time baby and the time enforcers truly dead and what happened to Blenden?

Also it didn't occur to me Mable couldn't take Waddle back but still I glad Stan force the driver to do so!

The epilogue credit was a nice touch-
Wow, those Dipper clones were still alived (the two that distract Robert away from Wendy)?
I wanted to see how Pacifica was doing since her parent had to sell the mansion.
Soos is looking great as the new manager and his girlfriend is back!

Overall, it's definitely one of the greatest cartoons out there among the good cartoon list. It's one of the few cartoons that I watched that really did give me a sense of mysteries and something that can't be solved in a episode or two due to the cipher gimmick and such details goes within the episodes.

What even more rare was that each episodes were always in top form. Not once was there a episode I didn't enjoyed as much (hey even MLP:FiM had one or two bad episode per season). Each one there was a a great moment that gave me a good laugh!

Unlike most cartoons out there, it actually did have a planned ending. I so glad it had one unlike being cancelled (Young Justice, a final episode that act like a normal episode or was out of production) or continue to carry on with a decline in quality of the episode itself.

Sad to see another super solid piece of animation go away. Better to die than fade away I guess.

No more Korra, no more P&F, no more Gravity Falls, Teen Titans Go still exists despite the waves of searing hatred sent its direction every hour of every day.

Sad day for Western Animation.

I personally loved the Gravity Falls finale, I haven't been this emotionally invested in a series finale since Avatar: the Last Airbender. While it was sad to see the show end, I guess it's better than the show going on for season after season, unlike some other shows I could name...

My ONLY complaints are two you actually brought up.

I kept waiting for Blenden to come in and save the day, or at least make an appearance. They took the time to address every other thing in the entire series, and yet chose to leave him out? I get the feeling that it was a deliberate choice so that they have a bit of wiggle room for if the series comes back. Because the creator said that, while he is done for now, it is possible he could come back and do a movie or another season a few years down the road.

The other one has to do with Pacifica as well. I too wanted to see a farewell kiss on the cheek or something. And possibly Wendy getting a bit jealous (?), but overall I was kind of disappointed in her character. It was like the Manor episode never happened. She was back to being a stuck up rich girl, instead of the slowly-turning-into-a-nice-girl that she was at the end of Manor. If anything, it seemed like it was her parents that had changed, when they told her to "Do the one thing that no one in our family has ever done."
It was nice seeing her at the party, but it really seemed like her character was wasted.

Otherwise, I loved it.

I didn't paid attention to the present until I saw that image again.

Mable- A golf club from that golf episode.

Dipper- That Ghost haressers dvd but in saying so I am certain of him mentioning it (wasn't it was on TV that he wanted to watched) happened in a different episode from the mystery manor?

It look like Pacifica did remember her past involvement with the twins.

Also I forgot to mention that scene with the original mystery twin finally living out their dreams in the epilogue did warmed my heart!

Oh and the cops are officially a couple now? I admit that recuse scene, it was SOOO epecting a kiss (yes I know that would never happened given to that deleted scene from the love god episode)! Still I'm just glad they are finally opened with their love.

It was pretty good. I really like it. The Neon Genesis shoutout was glorious, and it was one of the funniest episodes yet. Wendy taking Dippers hat was really sweet, and I like it when Stan and Ford threatened the bus driver. The confirmed homosexual romance between the cops had me in stitches. I mean, it was obvious, but I didn't expect them to go there in the finale. I was surprised that Disney gave them so much freedom, especially after that whole Avatar fiasco with Nickelodeon.

It did feel a bit rushed. They should have done a bit more with Pacifica. I wish they had developed a romance plot line between her and dipper, but any development would have been fine. Instead she seemed to go back to her old bitchy ways. A little disappointing.

I also thought the memory thing could have been fleshed out a little more. They should have kept it bittersweet, I think. Maybe he could go fishing with his brother, and they'd make new memories together. Maybe Stan would be happier forgetting most of his life mistakes. It just felt rushed through.

All in all a pretty solid finale. I liked that most of the characters got a solid ending.

Edit: On a more positive note, I heard the creator is working on a secret project with FOX. Maybe something a little more adult. I'll miss Gravity Falls, but I'm glad it ended strong. There are worse things...

Probably because its hilarious and the waves of hatred grown ups send to the kids network show because they hate this show for kids only makes it that much more hilarious to me.

I'll have to check it out on On Demand. I've only been casually watching this, but I saw Part 1 of Weirdmageddon and I was blown away how they did a child friendly version of Cosmic Horror.

Just Bill Cipher sitting on a chair of torture souls. Awesome.

Meanwhile my 3 and 5 year old nephews love Teen Titans Go with a passion.

Let me tell you about these kids networks, if you like their shit, that's great. If you don't? THEY DO NOT FUCKING CARE!! They're not here to make good content, they're here to make money. Advertising dollars. Toys commercials and cereals don't want to advertise to you.

Now let's see if we can get Steven Universe to release on a regular schedule instead of the current whiplash inducing fits and starts.

Looks like I need to get back into watching it. I only saw the first few episodes but I've heard really great things about it.

I got bored with the show after the first season completely failed to deliver on the whole overarching mystery aspect or to live up to the tone set by the amazing theme song.

I have spent days watching clips of old DC animated features, Young Justice, Teen Titans, Justice League Unlimited, Star Wars The Clone Wars, etc. and I do indeed agree it is a sad day for western animation.

OT: I like Gravity Falls the most of any other "modern" Disney cartoon. I wasnt always comfortable with how they sometimes edged into the zone where things get weird just to be weird, ala modern Sponge Bob and Adventure Time. But that was in season one. They did indeed create a sense of mystery, and while I still hold Phineas and Ferb as the no 1 cartoon, Gravity Falls is definitely Top 5

While I think this series could have gone at least one more season (a lot of characters deserved more development than they got), I'm glad it went out on top rather than continue to drag it out long past the point when every shred of charm was gone, continually adding new pointless characters in increasingly desperate attempts to keep it relevant.

Lookin' at you, Fairly Oddparents.

That finale was great... Still wish the series, in general, was longer (like 52 episodes) since some of the character arcs felt shorter than they needed to be, but at this point, I'll settle for a complete series Blu-ray release as compensation right now...

Other than that, if this truly is like Twin Peaks and The X-Files, then Gravity Falls will return in the "distant" future... But, seriously, release the complete series on Blu-ray, dammit! I need my Abel fix in a blue disk form!

Personally, I haven't really liked the show since it revealed the mystery of the author. It was fine, I didn't hate it, but I never really liked any of the characters in the show to begin with. It wasn't bad by any means, but the only reason I watched the show was because I enjoy talking to my sister about it. I feel like there were still a lot of things that needed to be addressed within the show that never really were. I remember Alex or someone else involved in the show's production saying that every character with 5 fingers has a secret and there were still multiple characters with 5 fingers by the end of it. The whole Mermando thing also seemed like it should have come back, as Mermando obviously wasn't happy about the manatee. Again I agree with the people who wanted to see Pacifica kiss Dipper, if only for selfish reasons. It was nice to see Soos get the shack and Stanly and Stanford start sailing, but I didn't really take anything away from it, and calling it "one of the greatest cartoons of all time" is a VERY big stretch given that it had little to no episodes with really heavy emotion. It was fun, it was lighthearted, but it carried no impact when everything hit the fan because I didn't really care to begin with.

Pssh, I wish. Unfortunately CN has found the Week-scheduled episodes too good to resist. Much like how Gravity Falls had it's finale season stretched out over years (with it's last three-part finale stretched out over four months), it's all a plan to squeeze the most views out of it, viewers be damned.
One would think having a consistent schedule to follow would allow more casual viewers to know when it's on and watch it. But I suppose letting people watch things somehow hurts ratings?
