So has anybody played new Swery game The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories?

Just finished watching a playthrough of it and I'm wondering if anybody else has played it? I'm interested in what certain members of our community think of the game. Please use

I thought it was pretty decent. The visuals were kind of blah at times, but at other times came together pretty nice. The story was pretty alright and gave me a feel or two. The voice acting kind of held things back, I thought, it wasn't really all that good. It doesn't compare to Deadly Premonition for me, but I think Swery still did alright. Maybe one thumb up and a non-committal shrug out of ten.

Spoiler: One thing that really bugged me *spoilers*

So JJ is revived by the paramedics. She bled so much that her HEART STOPPED and they had to restart it. The paramedics just... walk away. Why is she not being rushed to the hospital!!? Like this is supposed to be the first scene in the real world and it's completely unrealistic!

Actually on the topic of the dream, I usually don't like the "it was all a dream" ending, but I thought it worked pretty well here. As well as it reasonably can, I think. Probably because it was pretty clear that it was a dream from the outset, what with the weird moose deer headed doctors and backwards talking. It doesn't bait you along with an interesting mystery about the world that is made meaningless by the end reveal.

The problem i have with the "it's all a dream" endings is it makes me feel like nothing matters. Game resolutions need to make me fee like something actually happened. Dreams ultimately, in real life and in fictional settings ,mean nothing. I had a dream i had a gay orgy with 5 men,i also had a dream that i tortured my childhood bully, i am neither gay nor a murderer ( yet). It's as if the game didn't happen.

As juxtaposition , i'm playing Divinity Original sin, and ever decision makes me feel something. I outed a gay interracial orc/human relationship which got the orc killed , and i feel horrible. I'll remember that for the rest of my life because it actually happened. It's not a lol jk situation .

It's a nightmare because of the players action, if they didn't do anything it would have been reality.

Yes, I've played it. I thought it was pretty neat. It's not quite as ambitious as Deadly Premonition but then, it's obviously a much smaller project. But for what it is, it was very enjoyable and tackled some themes you rarely ever see in video games, Japanese video games even less so.

Also, there was one line close to the ending that legitimitely gave me goosebumps. If you've played both Deadly Premonition and J.J. Macfield you know what I mean.
