What games, Escapists, have been sitting on your shelves for months or years, and you've only now gotten around to beating them? And optionally, what do you still have left to go?

I've had this month off, so I've been trying to clear house there, and finally beat both Bayonetta and Prototype. Still have Prototype 2 to get through.

Fucking loads, and like the moron that I am I keep buying more. Probably the worst example is The Witcher 2. I have a signed copy of it sitting on my shelf still encased in its plastic wrapper from the factory. I've still got KoA: Reckoning to finish and I recently bought Dragon's Dogma too. I have the first Witcher to get through as well. Too many RPGs at once!

I still have yet to beat Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door. I'm at the final boss fight, but I believe I am too low of a level to complete it and this seems to be a point of no return in the game.

I'm pretty sure that I still have yet to beat Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg. I've had it for nine years now and it's still incomplete.

It's not that hard of a game, either, so I dunno why I haven't gotten it done.

I finally got around to finishing Oblivion. Check that "obligation" of my list. That game just drags and drags, Dear God!
As for your other question I still have to get around to beating Arkham City. I've had since it first came out but just haven't gotten to it yet.

I also have to go back and beat Metroid Prime (the boss) on Hard mode, but I'm not sure if that counts since I've technically beaten it already.

Pokemon Blue and Super Mario Land. Beat both this month.

I've owned them for as long as I can remember. 10 years at a minimum.
Pokemon Blue? Lol did you get stuck or just never come back to it? Better late than never :)

I have been quite active during the Steam Summer sale.

... What? That's the only way I play those games :)

The only time I've ever even had a remotely balanced team was when I played Pokemon white. I think it's because when I was little I was too lazy to switch out my pokemon all the time to train them lol... I did get really good at strategically using items though.

There are a ton of games on my shelf that aren't beaten/complete. I beat the main Super Mario 3D Land but not the special levels as Luigi as an example. I beat Final Fantasy IV on the GBA but my PSX version is still unfinished.

As for other games: I let Wind Waker sit on my shelf for a few months before I finished it and I seem to be doing the same thing with Twilight Princess (don't want to do the sky temple...dislike Skyloft or anything close to it).

Most of the games I buy for the consoles I play and finish ASAP or at least get as far as I'm willing to play through if the game is 2hard4me or just sucks, but there's a few for the PS2 that collect dust on the shelf. A lot of the games I have on PC haven't been played a much as I could or would like to play them, mostly because of distractions (such as posting on internet forums), and because the graphical limitations of my somewhat aged laptop makes a lot of the newer games I acquire look and run like shit.

Yup, that'll do me.

I still haven't played ME2 FFS!! Nor Portal 2... yes, I know, the heresy.

Added to that are: Witcher 2, Dragon Age 2, Prototype 2 (hmmm... I see a pattern here...), FO:NV, MW3 (*shrug* not my copy, so, eh...) and a whole load of RPG's & open world games here and there... can't remember them all...

And yet I started up another campaign for N:TW two days ago... -_-

I still have a stack of PSP games to finish from when I first bought the damn thing. Most of them are long-haul RPG's like FFT: War of the Lions and Persona 1 and 2. Y'know, games that take hours upon hours of investment to beat.

I'm playing Persona right now, actually. I believe I should finally reach my first Velvet Room to make some new Personas in a bit. I bought mysef P3P as well, but seeing how dumbed down they made it compared to the console and the fact that all of the cool animated cutscenes were removed, I couldn't bear to play it. I'll stick with my PS2 version of FES.

recently beat (Grudgingly) Kingdom under fire: Circle of Doom.i love this series but this entry took a departure from is's rts which a majority of the fun and left only the hack and slash part and removed a lot combo attacks and made less rpg elements and it just gets so BORING. also some of the few side quest are either confusing or very repetitive granted where heroes/crusaders ended circle of doom had too take this approach for this entry but Blueside/Phantagram did a horrid job with it.

uncompleted games goes as follow
1. turok evolution-could't find out how too kill final boss
2.Final Fantasy 12? the one with vaan in it. i just lost touch with it
3.elder scrolls morrowind GOTY original xbox version - got this game when i was too young to know what to do may go back into it soon though the graphics are not good and then....Vivec i hate that city.
4.Fire Emblem: radiant dawn- got real close to the end but i think a new game released i really wanted too play and i dropped it i will probably get back into this one soon.
Magic the gathering Battle grounds- did not enjoy this too much i like magic just not this game might give it one more chance or sell.
5. original rayman on ps1- want to get back on this one though Fire emblem first got it when i was 7 forgot about till recently.

A complete fuckton are still sitting on my shelf. If I start to list them i'll just depress myself :/

Fuck it. Catherine, you're getting beaten tonight. They made the last night in the bar too good...

They had to unlock the song "Alone" from Persona 4 on the jukebox just before the final boss fight (i assume) didn't they? *sigh* Depressing much?

Weirdly I just beat Sleeping Dogs and it's only been out a few days... I've impressed myself with that one. I need to stop playing League of Legends at some point because it just noms all of my time.

Oh and once the 31st comes around i'll be playing a ton of Persona 4 Arena so everything else can once again sit on the shelf for ages. I'm way too hyped for that game.

Who do I start with first? Naoto obviously, then Elizabeth then... The entire cast. Fuck.

I think Shadow/normal Labrys is going to sneak up my most played list. Though I wonder how spoilery having Shadow Labrys on the character select actually is storywise... So Persona users can have Shadows? Or is Shadow Labrys the prior version of Labrys when she didn't have her Persona yet?

The latter is most probably correct. Oh and have I mentioned how absolutely terrifying Shadow Labrys' instant kill is?

It looks like a command grab... Please don't tell me it's a command grab ;_;

Well I never have finished Ico, Batman: Arkham City, Mirror's Edge, Final Fantasy VIII or XIII, the first Crash Bandicoot or LittleBigPlanet but that's because I just...don't want to. Those games I either can't get into or I got stuck somewhere and I have no motivation to keep going. And these are the ones I've bought since I got my PS3. I don't even want to think about all the PlayStation 2 games I never saw the ending of.

I am however replaying Final Fantasy IX right now and I'm having a blast with it. I only got up to around level 30 before, so this time I plan on finishing it.
