So I just got a Ps3...

With a copy of Battlefield 3! Woo. I've also just downloaded Netflix and DC Universe online!

However, I'm fairly sure there's other things on the Playstation store that I've missed, and thus request some help to show me those hidden awesome things that I'll never find on my own!

Are there any other free to play games there? Awesome apps? Anything?!

Any help would be appreciated!

It's not free to download, but Journey is supposed to be a pretty awesome, artsy game.

Not free but get hold of Demon Souls and Dark Souls.

They are extremely difficult. You will die .... lots. You will rage and scream to the heavens "why god, whyyyyyy". They will drive you insane until you sit in a corner, rocking while salivating and howling at the moon.

But they are fun.

If you are into gaming masochism.

Other than that, have a browse on the PSN. They have a lot of trials and demos besides the rare freebie.

If you ever get a plus account they give free games away. No fantastic titles you'd sell your own kin for but they are free so who cares.

Who am I kidding, most of us here would give our own family away for fun free things.

I've contemplated selling my kids kidneys on the black market to buy up GAME's stock of PS3 games .... fortunately I checked their online store and it seems the only games in stock are FIFA ones.

Saved me a job, i've got no idea how to remove kidneys and my wife would moan about the mess.

Sorry to hear that friend. PS3 gets passed up on a lot of stuff these days, not to mention the PS3 version of Skyrim is broken beyond repair because of the architecture of the console. Here's hoping there's a good "HD collection" coming out for you that'll make it worth it.

I couldn't recommend Journey and Flower (which is 50% off right now) enough, although these games certainly don't appeal to everyone.

inFAMOUS and uncharted are on my list of games to get, along with Mgs 4 and the Mgs remake! I was thinking of trading Battlefield 3 in, but then I used the online code and I doubt it'll be worth much now QQ

I got this game free and I really really didnt like it in fact I hated it so much I actually deleted it but then one of my friends payed full price and thought it was fantastic guess its a love it or hate it kind of game.

My top PS3 game is Valkyria Chronicles I think there is a demo on PSN so its well worth a look.

PSN network? You know what the N stands for, I'll let you know. It's network, you said Playstation Network Network. Doesn't make sense, am I right?

When did they start giving out free games, I stopped using my PS3 in March 2010 apart from the odd game and never saw this.

If you are referring to PS+ then it isn't free.

I know what it stands for. It was a slip up. Ye gods you interwebs people are merciless. They've been giving away free games for a while now if you sign up for the pay service. Every two weeks or a month, I forget which, there is a free game and you get lots of discounts on other games. I just got Sly Cooper and one of the 8 million Street Fighter games this week for free.
