I've always looked at dungeons and dragons from afar and have never had the chance to play it myself. the starter set was £60 and for something which i'm uncertain i'll like, i think its a bit steep. so i asked a friend who regularly hosts as DM in a long running set of campaigns with a few friends if i can join, and he said yes. shortly after creating my character we started a low level campaign and they bound and gagged me...
after FINALLY cutting my self free i took a riding dog and left the campaign and went home.
basically my first experience was utter bollocks. i was helpless and surrounded by a**holes
who only invited me for a quick laugh.
so im asking you, the escapist, if any of you a willing to allow me to join or start a campaign with any of you.
maybe over skype or some other way if you do not live within a reasonable travel distance.
i live in the uk (newcastle) and i really need help to get started, i "borrowed" the books from my a** of a DM and am looking for someone willing to play through a campaign with me.
or if you know anywhere were i could play online, all suggestions are welcome
