So i yust Re-Beat ME2... what did i do wrong? (spoilers)

i yust replayed ME2 because i made some mistakes the first time and something wierd happened.
i had everyone loyal i picked everone right for each job in the final mission, now the wierd thing was that legion died. right after the final boss legion died and i dont know why, my other team mate (tali) survived but legion died for no reason, it kinda pissed me off because i wanted a that everyone survive trophy (ps3 version)
i guess i can start a good playthrough and try it agen with another charackter for my final squad but anyone know what i did wrong?

There are many factors. Who you send to escort your crew, who you take with you on the final battle, they all determine even who survives when your crew is holding out.

Perhaps you could actually tell us who you sent to each spot?

i used kasumi for my first specialist (the pipe/tube thingy) i used garrus both times as the leader if the second squad, i used samara (morinth) as the second specialist (the seeker swarm tunnel) and i used legion and tali for the final battle.

You sure he was loyal? Did you sort out his fight with Tali properly back on the ship?

EDIT: nevermind, he was in your group. No idea.

wait, the fight can change how he survived? he was loyal but because i wanted to have a relationship with tali i was a douch to legion in there fight, do you think that made him die,
did the fact that him feeling bad about loosing a fight against a girl make a gigant platform collaps on him? what is this fable?

the only way a companion can die in the last portion is if he was not loyal. other than that i have no clue on the BSN there is an entire thread dedicated to the suicide mission might want to look into that (it goes in depth about the mechanics of the mission)

Yes, if you side with one member over the other, you lose the loyalty of the one you did not side with. Only with the Paragon/Renegade option do you salvage the loyalty of both.

i'm afraid i can't offer any knowledge of what went wrong
but here's how i did it (completely on someone elses advice, so i can't take any credit)
and hopefully it'll help you out a bit:

(all loyal, but if you can't resolve the miranda, jack dispute properly then side with jack)
legion to open the door
Garrus to lead the second team
Samara to create the bio shield
Garrus to lead second team again
send mordin back with the survivors
Take Tali and Thane with you to face The human reaper
The team you leave behind will need garrus and grunt's expertise if they're all to survive, it's the only way to keep miranda alive if she's not fully loyal, so leave them behind even though they both kick so much ass it's ridiculous

I don't know about the PS3 version, but in the 360 version, some members would die for apparently no reason. I had all of my squad loyal my first playthrough, but Mordin ended up dying anyway right at the end. I just sent him back to the ship with Chakwas so I didn't have to worry about him next time.

Still doesn't explain why Legion died while in your party though. There are supposed to be no outside factors other than loyalty with the squadmates in your party.

The game kills off every non-loyal crew member
next time, leave him behind with the rest of the squad. that is the only way to let non-loay squad members to survive

If you sided with Tali in their fight, did you go and talk to Legion and use paragon/renegade to persuade him after? If not, he is no longer loyal.
